Alec
It had been a few days since the funeral, he had finished moving all of his boxes really easily with the help of some of his co-workers, however, when it came to knowing where to put his things, he hadn’t taken into account a couple of factors. The first of which, the fact that Eve was a huge hoarder. You wouldn’t know due to the sheer size of the mansion, but she had stacks of, albeit partially organized, hoarded items. Usually useless ones. And the second, Eve’s cats. A lot of them were strays that she let in, or cats that she found at shelters and adopted, regardless, there were a lot of cats. None of them were too crazy, thankfully, but there were just a lot of them. While feeding them wasn’t a problem due to both Alec’s job and Eve’s bank account, some of the cats loved to either hide in impossible places, or just get under your feet with the innocent intent to murder you and themselves if you aren’t watching your steps. So moving around a bunch of stuff with a ton of cats in your path is scary, especially when going up or down stairs.
Alec had decided to live in the room next to Eve’s, because he felt it would hurt too much to sleep in her room every night, but it would also hurt to be too far away to easily get to her room if he wanted to. As he finished moving the boxes upstairs, he realized he hadn’t fed the cats that morning. Alec headed down to the kitchen, collecting a sizable crowd of followers as he did so, after putting food down for all of the cats, he noticed that one of them, a very food loving cat, was missing.
