The 1st Life . . .
a simple marriage of convenience between an heiress of a Duchy and the 2nd Sun of the Empire, Elisabeth Valois with her Green Emerald eyes that shun like the stars in the sky and the sun that set in the east. .
Leonardo De Von Montreal, With those deep red eyes that steamed off the anger and the bloodshed that the empire went through during a prolonged battle between the northern and eastern parts.
Two Houses of Nobility that were conjoined, That most likely ended up in the worst case scenario
“Elisabeth Valois?”
That name rings a bell in my head . . Leonardo Pondered as he observed the grounds of the manor.
The same manor that my father gave him, as the captain of the imperial army's 3rd decree. . . to use as he chooses
“A noble lady of her status, She's a Duchess”
“Shouldn't be helping those in need”
“But the compassion and generosity that she showed my men, was as clear as the Emerald green eyes she has”
Was it a natural attraction? I don't know
Leonardo Pondered to himself, as he glanced at the Young Duchess, tending to the men in the Imperial Army 3rd decree with a washcloth in her hand
. . .
“A bright Light? A flash? A Streaming white light?” Elisabeth murmured to herself as she felt the tranquillity of the darkness envelope her.
if there is some sort of being out there, Please
let me relive this life
“All I ask for, Is another chance at this life”
“The Pendulum of Time and death to reverted . . . and allow me to fix my mistakes and undo everything that I couldn't stop”
Elisabeth said as she glanced at the opaque darkness, Glancing down at the White rosary beads around her neck, as her finger settled on the Golden Cross Necklace, That carried the emblem of her family name inside. As she gently Twiddled it in her hand.
hoping that those prayers would be heard
. . .
. . . .
System : “Are you sure you want to, Re-Do the life”
Hesitantly, I Pondered over the “Yes” and the “No” option
“Y-Yes i'm sure” I said as I glanced at the floating, glowing pop-up message
what is this? its weird. . . everytime that I ever died, there was never one something so weird - popping up, it was always like a voice called out from the heavens? so maybe this is another way of that said voice. . .
I knew what would happen from this point
. . .
A dreaded curse of re-living a life over and over again, in a continuous cycle
Is that . . .
You may experience something once, but know it won't happen again until a couple lifetimes later.
When you go through something that is important to your character growth the memory of it stays with you
It's the same if you love or hold someone dear to your heart . . .
those memories will haunt you all through your lifetime
. . .
The 50th Life - Timeline xxxxx
Sitting in the carriage as it travels throughout the empire.
The wedding was just as extravagant as my 1st Life
The silver vases with pink roses in, that had quite delicate pears wrapped around them decorated the Cathedral.
His Highness, Leonardo De Von Montreal, Standing at the altar with the priest, in his military clothes as well as the Imperial Family's Emblem and family crest adorning his robes as the golden buttons on his sleeves reflected brightly against the blinding, halo light glow from the stained glass window at the top of the Cathedral.
“It's illegal to look this handsome and put together while having the direst cruelty for a personality” i thought to myself as I glanced out of the window of the carriage
. . .
“Elisabeth?” Leonardo said, as he looked across the carriage to me as I was seemingly lost in my thoughts. His gaze lingering on the Blue diamond crescent choker I was wearing as well as the golden cross pendant that held the “Valois” family emblem.
“What would it be? I've lost count of how many times I've experienced these events?” I aimlessly thought to myself as I kept looking out the window
“A cup of poison like my second life?”
“I should have known better”
. . .
“I should have expected th-”
Before my trail of thought was then interrupted by a sharp memory from my second life.
The Golden goblet that contained some scotch , as the delicate ornaments of the pearls glistened on the cup.
Before I then suddenly dropped it as I watched it shatter onto the floor, The scotch in it spilling onto the floor as the room suddenly spun around me.
Grabbing onto the nearest object I could, as I tried to steady myself as I tried to make my lips move . . . yet I failed to
Coughing up a large amount of blood, I knew what would happen and that my fate in this life couldn't be avoided, Everytime I tried to run away from it
I never could
The last thing I knew of that life, Was my dearest maid Emilla, frantically screaming for help as she wiped the blood from my mouth with a napkin that was in her pocket
“YOUR HIGHNESS! GRAND DUCHESS! MY LADY”
“SOMEONE PLEASE HELP”
soothing me slightly she lowered the tone of her voice to a more calmer one, yet I could hear the plea for help in her voice.
She's been with me since I was a young girl, she's more of a mother to me than any of my family ever was.
“It's okay My Lady! Don't worry! You'll be fine!”
. . . . . .
There was never any room for me in this marriage, It was always . . .
Her
An angel who had no wrongdoings, the only star in the sky in his eyes
A Countess, a low-born one in fact, Her father owned no power . . . truly, his family line has been punished for the last 4 generations because of the treason of his great-grandfather, Duke Volia De Toussaint and The Lord of Elkon. Plotting against the crown.
Duke Volia, Claiming that he owned the throne - AS his eldest brother was the current Emperor of Northern region of the kingdom called Tienne, However . . . it wasn't known that before it was taken over by the eastern region known as Rowdinne
Rossette Toussaint, Countess of Jina by the right of her father. . . Duke Richardo Toussaint
A snicker across her face, Those Crystal Royal-Blue coloured eyes with a pale violet hue to them, that perfectly matched the desaturated Pinkness to her hair, Her pale skin illuminated in the dark as those cold and stern eyes gazed through me and into my soul.
Of course, you could hear the various murmurs around the palace about, My husbands Mistress, it was inevitable and was bound to happen someday:
“My lady. . . she has quite the bitter personality”
“She is just as bitter as the venom from a snake”
“How did his highness come to love that snake? The Grand Duchess, Surely has a better personality despite the stoic expression on her face”
“Just because, the countess used her body to seduce his highness”
. . .
Yet I always felt so insignificant and so inferior in my position as HIS WIFE.
she was after all - a simple mistress with a few titles to herself with a bad family reputation.
I had no reason to be worried about her. . . Yet I was?
. . . .
The same cold yet caring voice I grew familiar with, suddenly spoke up, as I got brought back to the reality of things.
“We'll arrive soon, Elisabeth..” Leonardo said as he looked at me.
As I glanced outside the carriage window, I hadn't even noticed that the sun had started to set, as the darkness broke over the land
