Cuddling closer to Kael, Nagi buried his face into the crook of Kael’s neck, inhaling the familiar scent of earth and smoke mixed with something uniquely him. Kael was still deeply asleep, his chest rising and falling rhythmically, and for a moment, Nagi relished the peacefulness of the morning and the security of Kael's presence.
As he lay there, thoughts raced through Nagi's mind. How would their relationship change now? What would their adventures look like moving forward? Would they face more battles together? Nagi felt a mixture of excitement and anxiety at the thought of it all, but one thing was certain—he didn’t want to lose this feeling of connection, this sense of belonging that Kael had given him.
He gently traced his fingers along Kael’s arm, marveling at the strength hidden beneath the surface. Kael had always been a figure of power and mystery, and now, after everything, he felt a deep affection for him, mixed with a yearning to learn more about the man who had come to mean so much.
“Hey, sleepyhead,” Nagi whispered softly, hoping to coax Kael awake. “The sun is up, and we’ve got a day ahead of us. Time to rise and shine.”
Kael groaned softly, his body still heavy with exhaustion as Nagi’s voice pulled him from sleep. His eyes blinked open slowly, adjusting to the soft morning light, and he instinctively tightened his arm around Nagi, pulling him closer before speaking.
“Mm... already?” Kael’s voice was rough, still thick with sleep, but there was a faint smile on his lips as he buried his face into Nagi’s hair. “Can’t we stay like this a little longer? Feels too good to move.”
He shifted slightly, feeling the soreness in his muscles from both the battle and the night they had shared, but there was no regret—only a sense of quiet contentment he wasn’t used to. Kael let out a deep sigh, his hand sliding up to rest on Nagi’s back, holding him gently.
“You didn’t complain last night when I kept you up,” Kael teased, his voice low, laced with amusement as he pressed a soft kiss to the top of Nagi’s head.
"true but thats also why we need to get up, we need to clean off" nagi says standing to his feet with a small wince from the soreness
Kael watched as Nagi stood, the small wince not escaping his notice. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, his eyes following Nagi as he stretched. The sight of him, still flushed from their night together, stirred something within Kael, but he quickly suppressed it, knowing Nagi was right—they needed to move.
“Can’t argue with that,” Kael admitted as he pushed himself up, wincing slightly at his own soreness. “We definitely need to clean up before heading back.”
He stood and stretched, his muscles protesting from both the battle and the night’s activities. Kael’s gaze softened as he watched Nagi, a rare warmth in his eyes. He stepped forward, closing the space between them, and gently placed a hand on Nagi’s shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
“You alright?” he asked, his voice quieter, concern flickering beneath his usual stoicism. “I didn’t mean to be so… rough last night.”
There was a vulnerability in his tone, something Kael rarely let show.
"im fine i was the one who begged to be fucked harder deeper and faster, I wanted it just like I want the soreness from it its a reminder it wasn't a dream but a reality" nagi says with a smile
Kael chuckled softly, his smirk returning as he shook his head, clearly amused by Nagi’s boldness. There was a certain satisfaction in hearing those words, a quiet pride knowing that last night had been just as real for Nagi as it had been for him.
“Well,” Kael said, stepping closer and letting his hand trail down Nagi’s arm, his touch lingering. “If that’s the case, I suppose I shouldn’t feel too bad about it then.”
He tilted Nagi’s chin up with a gentle touch, his gaze soft but intense as he searched Nagi’s eyes. “But next time, don’t be afraid to tell me when I’m being too much. I want to give you everything you need, Nagi. Not just the heat of the moment, but…” He paused, the words coming out slower, more deliberate. “Whatever this is between us.”
His thumb brushed Nagi’s cheek as he leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his lips—a brief but meaningful gesture, one that felt more like a promise than anything else.
