THE SUN - War Of Gods Begins

Did We Escaped?

Did We Escaped?

Oct 10, 2024

"तुम अलग हो।" (you are different.)

''Its" gaze fixed upon Aurelion as the world around them convulsed and blurred, unable to withstand the weight of its voice.

With the appearance of the currupted mars, Aurelion noted that the reality created by divine eyes of sage under influence of void extended considerably, which included not just them but whole planet.

Contrarily, the ground before him disintegrated, revealing infinite space with gleaming stars beneath. Aurelion carried Giaria in both hands, and Aleric floated behind him, teleported near the shattered ground he had formed immediately.

He needed to escape from this collapsing illusion, because Giaria’s condition didn't allow her to be anywhere near the influence of void. Even if its reality woven by the currupted divibe eyes of sage, she will undoubtedly be corrupted right away.

And that to say, its not even fraction of its true might beyond the veil of obscurity, and still being tremendous for even gods to face.

Even his supernova would have no effect, if he was facing its true body.

As he held Giaria, Aurelion finally turned to face the collapsing world. Then, he began to fall back into the broken ground, and Aleric, who had been floating beside him, plummeted with him.

Everything in Aurelion’s vision slowed down, as if time itself had decelerated, while he gazed at a white ball of light in the sky spewing a scorching glare that disintegrated everything it touched.

As he fell behind, Aurelion’s lips twisted into a maniacal smile, his face was completely pale, and his arms that held Giaris trembled.

Even if everything appeared to be working in his favour, doing this was far from straightforward, as he was entirely concentrated and developed endless plans in his thoughts within a second of fully analysing the situation and executing it.

He was careful not to make a single error, even a sligbtest of weakness, a fraction of delay in execution could lead to his imminent death. He also used almost all of his powers and didn't hold back at all.

Aurellions heart was racing as he realised how crazy this world and his life had become. Despite being a god above all, he felt entirely helpless in the position he had found himself in, which he predicted to be dangerous, but not fatal to this extent.

So at the suprise and his own misjudment, Aurelion chuckled, soon turning into maniacing laughter, releasing the storm of his raging emotions.

As he fell, however, something extended out of the light from the corner of his slowed vision. A bloody tentacle were approacheing him, ready to claim his life.

Even after realizing this, Aurelion's smile didn't faltered.

"Fuck you, you basterd!" He didn't hesitate to curse the creature of void.

Before the bloody tentacle could reach him, he finally fell through the broken ground into vast starry space below.

With his departure, the depraved world also completely collapsed in his supernova.

However, distorted roars filled with rage and madness could still be heard echoing.

Amid the vast starry space created by the divine eyes of a sage, a brilliant blue star stood out, with countless planets orbiting around it. On one of these planets, frozen under a blanket of snow and ice, the very fabric of reality tore like fragile paper. From the rupture, Aurelion emerged—his once-pristine white hair now matted with blood, his dress stained with the battle’s toll. He cradled two figures in his arms.

Instead of completely shattering the twisted reality they had been trapped in, Aurelion had barely managed to escape into another part of it. He dropped to his knees, the soft snowfall landing on his face, the icy wind brushing against his skin. Each flake that fell and each gust of wind felt achingly real, as if the universe was mocking him with the coldness of the situation.

Aurelion took deep, steadying breaths, his gaze drawn to the distant blue star. His mind and body were fraying, his divine essence barely holding him together. Yet, there was no time to recuperate—the situation was spiraling beyond his control.

Lowering Giaria and Aleric onto the snow-covered ground, he wasted no time. Their twisted expressions and the torment radiating from their souls told him all he needed to know. He placed his hands on their foreheads, ignoring the agony that pulsed from them.

But the moment his fingers touched the crimson blood on their skin, Aurelion recoiled—briefly. The blood seared like molten magma, burning his divine flesh. How ironic, he mused bitterly. A god of the sun, scorched by the blood of corruption. If anyone else knew of this, his reputation would be in shambles.

"What in all creation am I thinking?" Aurelion cursed under his breath, the toll of recent events playing havoc on his mental state. He knew the source of his fraying control—it was Nephilspawn, the Creture of void had left its mark, deep and festering.

Despite the sting of his emotions, he pressed his hands harder onto their foreheads, ignoring the searing heat of the corrupted blood. A golden light flared at his touch, radiant and purifying, bathing both Giaria and Aleric in its warmth. The crimson blood evaporated from Giaria’s body, and the twisted flesh merging with Aleric’s mechanical form dissolved.

Slowly, they began to heal, but Aurelion felt the toll—his complexion growing paler with every second.

After what felt like an eternity, Giaria stirred. Her eyes fluttered open, and though the golden light had cleansed her body, the lingering terror remained etched on her soul. She recalled the horror—the inexplicable being that had descended upon them, the distorted whispers that echoed through her mind, gnawing at her sanity.

The fear was bone-deep, for the whispers were all too familiar. They were the same whispers that had nearly driven her mad during her time as an ancient god. They were the same voice that had forced her to orchestrate her own death, all in an effort to escape.

And now, she knew who it was—A Nephilspawn, the source of all evil in the cosmos. 'Its'presence, looming and inescapable, filled Giaria with a terror that defied explanation.

Every fiber of her being screamed as crimson eyes bored into her, her mind instinctively recognizing the ancient force that had come for her. She was paralyzed by fear, her vision clouded with scarlet. Blood poured from her mouth, her throat strangled by the primal terror that gripped her.

Her entire life flashed before her eyes in that moment. She knew what awaited her, and it was far worse than death. It was oblivion. It was losing herself entirely to 'its' corruption.

Desperately, Giaria tried to summon her power, to flee, to scream, but it was useless. Something—'its' authority—had sealed her abilities. She was trapped.

Then, through the haze of her vision, she saw it—an approaching blaze of light, burning away everything in its path. For a fleeting second, she wished for that light to consume her, to release her from the horror that awaited under this terrifying existence control.

But the light did not destroy her. She was lifted, held by familiar arms, the warmth of Aurelion's hands anchoring her as he healed her pain.

For a brief, fleeting moment, a spark of hope ignited in her heart. The golden light enveloped her vision, and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, the persistent whispers ceased. The agony that had tormented her faded away. Giaria was free—at least for now.

As her eyes adjusted to her surroundings, she blinked, taking in the snow-covered ground and the peaceful stillness of the moment. Her gaze soon landed on the trembling figure before her.

“Aurelion...” Giaria’s voice was weak, but her heart ached as she beheld him. His once-imposing figure was now drained, his divine strength deteriorating. The toll of the battle, the escape, and the Void's influence were evident in every line of his pale face.

Aurelion, the Radiant Sun, was faltering. Yet, he had saved them both from the brink of annihilation.

But deep down, they both knew this was only the beginning. The Void was still out there, watching, waiting, and their battle with the Nephilspawn had only just commenced.

Ignoring the exhaustion that wracked her body, Giaria scrambled to her feet and rushed to Aurelion’s side. Her hands trembled as she placed them gently on his back. Instantly, her divine authority over Life surged through her, and her palms began to glow a vibrant green, pouring life force into Aurelion’s weakened form.

Aurelion didn’t resist her help. Under Giaria’s influence, his condition improved rapidly—far more swiftly than hers had. His ashen face regained color, and the dim glow in his golden eyes reignited with fierce brilliance.

“It’s… wonderful…” Aurelion murmured softly, relief flooding his voice as the immense life force flowed into him, healing not only his body but also his shattered spirit. He felt a warmth and comfort so profound that, for a moment, he wished it would last forever.

“Did we escape?” Giaria asked, dread still clouding her eyes, though she could see Aurelion’s condition improving by the second. “And what happened?”

Aurelion, momentarily lost in the comfort of the moment, sighed. “I’d stay like this all day if I could...” But then his expression darkened, and he spoke as if to himself. “Yes, we escaped the immediate danger… but not for long. It will find us soon enough.”

As the weight of his words settled over them, Giaria knew that their respite was merely a fleeting illusion. They had triumphed in this moment, but the shadows of the past loomed ominously, ready to reclaim what they had fought so hard to escape.
