The cry sounded like that of a young woman. Tian Ping hesitated for a moment, pondering whether he should get involved. He had no intentions of walking a path of justice, but he wasn't a villain either. "I'll observe the situation first before I decide what to do," he thought, as he leaped silently through the nearby trees.
When he arrived at the scene, he positioned himself on top of a tree branch, hidden from sight. Below him, four men in black suits stood over a young woman who was badly hurt and leaning against a tree. Her light blue hair, streaked with dirt and blood, clung to her face in tangled strands. Her eyes, the same icy blue color as her hair, burned with defiance despite the pain etched across her features.
“TRAITORS, ALL OF YOU!” the girl shouted, her voice filled with both fury and desperation. Tears welled up in her eyes, and her broken right arm hung limply at her side. Bruises marred her pale skin, evidence of a vicious struggle. Even in her weakened state, she held her head high, glaring at her at the four strange men."
Cloaked Man #1 smirked, a cruel glint in his eye as he tightened his grip on his sword. “You’ve got quite a mouth on you, don’t you?” he sneered. "But all that talk won’t save you now."
He raised his blade high, its edge glinting coldly in the dim light. The air seemed to grow heavier, charged with the anticipation of the inevitable strike. Her breath hitched, but she held his gaze, her resolve unbroken even in the face of death.
“Enough of this. It ends now!” Cloaked Man #1 growled.
SWOOSH!!
The sword sliced through the air, aiming straight for her.
