The sound of Tian Ping’s blade cutting through the air was like a whisper of fate. The cloaked man’s escape ended before it even began, his life extinguished in a single, clean stroke.
The area in front was left with a wide arc slash, trees bearing deep cuts, and plants losing their top halves. Most importantly, the cloaked man was left without a bottom half, his severed torso falling to the ground in silence. A heavy stillness settled over the scene, as if the very air had been stunned into submission by the display of raw power.
Tian Ping’s eyes narrowed slightly as he gazed at the devastation he had just caused. A chill ran down his spine as he realized the force he’d just unleashed. "The simple sword technique is something I created while experimenting with the Dao of Swords," he thought, a mix of shock and pride flickering in his expression. "I never expected these moves to unleash such power. This is my first time using them, and even though I've only fought kobolds so far, none of them could have prepared me for this."
He stood still for a moment, absorbing the gravity of his actions. The blue-haired girl watched him, her eyes wide with awe and a hint of fear. Unfamiliar joy filled her heart as she witnessed his overwhelming strength, a spark of hope igniting within her as she realized that her fate might not be sealed after all.
Tian Ping's gaze softened momentarily as he glanced at the girl, then turned his focus back to the carnage before him. "I have to refine this technique," he thought, his determination sharpening. "If I can perfect it, then there's no telling what level of mastery I might reach."
The remaining silence was finally broken by the whisper of the wind rustling through the trees, a stark contrast to the chaos that had just unfolded. The air was thick with the scent of earth and blood, and in that moment, Tian Ping knew this was just the beginning.
"I have a long way to go," he mused, his grip tightening on the hilt of his sword, "but one day, my blade will cut through even the heavens."
