The blue-haired girl struggled to push herself up, her body trembling with the effort. "You're in critical condition, stop moving," Tian Ping said, his tone firm but not unkind as he moved toward her.
"Please... get that ring there," she whispered, her voice faint as she pointed weakly to a ring lying in the grass nearby.
Tian Ping's brow furrowed slightly, but he followed her gaze and walked over, picking up the ring. He handed it to her, still puzzled. "Why are you worrying about a ring when you're in this state? You need to focus on getting out of here," he said, a hint of genuine concern breaking through his usual calm exterior.
"It's not just any ring," she explained, wincing as she forced a small smile. "This is a spatial ring." She poured Zhen energy into it, and in an instant, a small bottle of pills appeared in her trembling hand. "Here, take one," she said, holding out a pill to him.
Tian Ping’s eyes widened for a split second, though he quickly masked his surprise. He had never seen a spatial ring or healing pills before, but he wasn't about to let on that he was unfamiliar with these items. He kept his expression neutral. He hesitated about accepting it since he didn't know her but his mind told him yes. He accepted the pill with a nod. "Thanks," he said, swallowing it.
The moment the pill dissolved in his mouth, a warmth spread through his body, followed by a tingling sensation that coursed through his veins. He felt his injuries mending from the inside out, the scars from his battles with the kobolds fading away as if they had never existed.
He looked down at his hands, flexing his fingers in amazement as he felt the strength returning to his limbs, stronger and more resilient than before. "This... this is incredible," he thought, a flicker of wonder crossing his usually composed face.
The girl watched him, relief softening her features despite her own pain. "That pill is a low-grade healing pill," she said, a faint smile playing on her lips. "Good for minor injuries and restoring energy.
Tian Ping gave a small nod, processing this new information. "I appreciate it," he said, his tone softer now. "What's your name?"
The girl blinked in surprise at the question, then took a shaky breath. "My name is Zhou lan," she replied. "And I owe you my life. I will never forget this and will repay you someday.
Tian Ping's gaze turned steely again, but a hint of a smile touched his lips. "Just focus on getting better, Lan Xue. The world won't give us any mercy, so we can’t afford to be weak."
