THE SUN - War Of Gods Begins

INFINITY

INFINITY

Oct 13, 2024

On Earth, the crimson star dimmed, flickering as though it might vanish entirely.

BOOM!

The world trembled violently as a colossal force struck the veil, disrupting the ethereal barrier.

A massive, indescribable face pressed against the barrier—an abomination with countless heads and horns, its grotesque visage filled with bulging, bloodshot eyes that stared directly at them. Another Nephilspawn had gazed to their world, attempting to tear through the veil before it could fully reinforce.

But it was too late.

The veil, bolstered by luck and divine power of Fate, held fast, cutting off the Nephilspawn’s intrusion and sealing the connection to the Earth.

The battle wasn’t over, but the tide had momentarily turned in their favor.

Roar!!

A rage-filled roar exploded across the vast cosmos, reverberating through all five realms, causing the veil to stretch and contract under the unimaginable fury of the void creatures wrath.

Countless eyes, mad with anger and seething hatred, focused solely on one man—Theodore Rosveen.

Theodore’s figure trembled as void creature gaze landed over him, Even though the veil remain intact between them, The angry gaze caused hravy pressure on his soul, Blood began to soak his garments, and his once-blue eyes turned a deep crimson. But despite the blood that now stained his clothes, Theodore's expression remained stoic. There was neither fear nor panic in his gaze as he stood tall before one of the most terrifying existenc..

“Can you maintain it?” Cessian asked, his silver eyes narrowed as he noticed Theodore’s condition.

“Everything’s fine,” Theodore replied calmly, his voice steady, as though the weight of the universe pressing down on him was of no concern. “We’ve managed to halt some of its influence, but it’s not enough yet.”

On Earth, the light of the crimson star, which had been dimming, flared back to life under the roar of the creature.

Ichor nodded, though his aura had notably weakened, dimming from the power he had wielded moments ago. Still, he was indifferent, his warm eyes staring through the veil at the abomination.

The Nephilspawns countless eyes, now blazing with unholy rage, all turned toward Ichor. The roaring in the astral realm intensified, shaking the very foundations of the veil. Yet, Ichor’s expression remained unchanged, as though the wrath of the creature barely registered.

He had never claimed that the connection between the void had been fully severed. Even with the authority of the 'Luck' and all their efforts, he knew the truth. The threat still lingered—far beyond his current strength.

“It’s up to them now,” Ichor's voice echoed throughout the astral realm. “We’ve done all we could…”

---

In the far reaches of this woven altered reality, the brilliance of a golden sun and crimson star illuminated the starry expanse. The light was so intense that a distant snowy planet could no longer withstand the forces at play—its icy surface shattered, breaking into pieces as the planet itself collapsed.

A lone figure floated before the vast golden sun. Though minuscule compared to the star's overwhelming size, the divine aura radiating from this man dwarfed even the celestial body behind him.

He was clad in gleaming Golden armor, resplendent in the sun’s rays, and in his hand, he gripped a long white spear streaked with golden light.

The man wore no helm, his angular face exposed to the cosmos. His golden eyes burned with a fierce intensity, glowing with the power of a sun that surged at his back.

This was Aurelion, the Almighty Sun.

With a calm, almost regal air, Aurelion raised his gleaming spear toward the blood moon that hovered ominously in the distance. His voice, filled with an authority that transcended even gods, resonated through the starry space.

“I say it is ineffective!” he declared, his words thundering across the surroundings like the judgment of the cosmos itself. He had commanded a new order with his authority.

As his voice rippled across the heavens, the very fabric of reality seemed to tremble, as though acknowledging the might of the one who stood before the sun, spear in hand, ready to face the coming storm.

"I declare it ineffective!"

Aurelion's voice thundered through the cosmos once again as he raised his spear, aiming it at the crimson star. His words reverberated across the starry expanse, a direct challenge to the encroaching corruption. For a moment, the crimson star dimmed, its sickly light waning, and the authority that twisted Mars was stripped away, allowing the planet to breathe once more.

But it was only a fleeting victory.

The crimson light flickered and returned, surging back with renewed intensity, and quickly engulfed the planet, once again transforming it into a blood-red star. The influence of Aurelion's declaration was obliterated in seconds.

The moon began to shimmer, turning ethereal and illusory before morphing into something far more terrifying. An indescribable being began manifesting over Mars, an abomination Theodore had glimpsed beyond the veil. The mere possibility of its arrival distorted reality, and an ocean of blood appeared in the void, corrupting everything it touched.

Reality itself bent under the weight of 'its' presence, preventing Aurelion from wielding his "Order" authority. Chaos reigned supreme here, and no law could hold sway in this corrupt domain.

"Sun!" Aurelion's deep voice echoed once again, unwavering.

In response, countless miniature suns bloomed around him, their brilliance momentarily lighting the illusory planetary system. The intense heat of the suns caused the blood ocean to bubble and boil, its crimson depths unable to withstand the scorching radiance.

But one glance from the countless eyes within the blood transformed the suns into bursts of crimson fire, scattering them across the void. The blood ocean roared back, ever relentless.

Aurelion stood firm at the ocean’s edge, his spear glowing white-hot in his hand. With a swift motion, he slashed through the corrupted space, his golden eyes ablaze.

"Die in this ocean of light, you bastard!" Aurelion grinned defiantly.

Instantly, the remaining suns ignited into a blinding white, their brilliance akin to stars on the verge of supernova.

Boom!

The suns imploded, releasing an immense wave of light that tore through the blood ocean. The light expanded outward, consuming the blood, the planets, the stars, and the very fabric of space around it.

It was an awe-inspiring sight. From afar, an observer would witness the obliteration of an entire planetary system, wiped out in mere moments by the overwhelming force of Aurelion’s unleashed power. The blue star at the system's center, the orbiting planets, and the drifting asteroids all vanished into the abyss of light.

Aurelion hovered amidst the destruction, his silver armor gleaming as painful, guttural roars echoed around him. Yet the satisfaction he expected eluded him.

The abomination, still didn't fade away. Its life force, though weakened, remained terrifyingly potent.

"*So this is why they call it the Indestructible...*" Aurelion thought bitterly. Even the massive destruction he had wrought barely slowed it down. He sensed the interference of the other gods, their efforts weakening the entity’s connection to the real Mars. Without them, he would have been overwhelmed long ago.

Lilith—no, Giaria—remained on the sidelines, awaiting the completion of the historical scroll by Aleric. Aurelion couldn't afford to let her join the fray without the necessary protection against this vile cretures influence.

Suddenly, the roars ceased. The silence was more terrifying than any sound. Aurelion’s instincts screamed in warning.

Without hesitation, he turned to his left, raising his hand just as a beam of light—no, a beam of darkness—hurtled toward him.

Boom!

The dark beam struck his hastily summoned shield of pure light, but it wasn’t just darkness. It was the absence of light, a force that corrupted and consumed all it touched. The ocean of light around Aurelion dimmed as the beam turned everything in its path into a void of blackness.

Aurelion’s right hand trembled as he struggled to maintain the shield. The malice emanating from the beam was palpable, seeping into his thoughts, twisting them with insidious evil. For a brief moment, even he—Aurelion, the Eternal Blazing Sun—felt the creeping touch of despair.

But his golden irises flared with brilliance, and with a burst of pure light, he banished the malicious thoughts.

Crack! Crack!

The shield faltered. The cracks spread rapidly across its surface, unable to withstand the relentless assault of the dark beam. Aurelion sensed the filthy darkness closing in, ready to corrupt him, ready to extinguish his light.

His heartbeat slowed as he exhaled, a long, steady breath. He released the light shield, dispelling it in an instant.

Now floating in the endless darkness, Aurelion’s figure glowed with radiant purity. The darkness surged toward him, intent on consuming his light. Above it all, the dark beam of nothingness still barreled toward him.

Yet Aurelion remained calm, his expression unwavering. With a practiced motion, he raised his right hand, crossing his middle and index fingers into a simple but powerful gesture. It was a conceptual move he created based on the power of one of the fictional character he had read about in his previous life

"I would have felt too cool if it was any other situation." Aurelios thought in amusment, before he finally said,

“Infinity.”

The approaching beam of darkness slowed, then stopped altogether, suspended in space before it could touch him. The void around Aurelion, once all-consuming, recoiled, as though getting repelled, and the space around him begun to expand at light speed.

Aurelion smirked, as the blood ocean seemd to get far and far away as space between them expanded, the authority of his command flooding the corrupted space, and in that moment, the light surged anew, ready to engulf the darkness once more.

His authority of "order" returned and his calm voice reverberated in the endless darkness once again.

"Chain of light"

One bright star after another appeared in the uncorrupted space around him.

With the appearance of the stars, the very "order" of space began to change. The authority of "order" strengthened the space itself to be able to withstand corruption and destructive power.

When the dark beam and filthy darkness collided with the expanding space, they both came to a halt for a brief moment before being pulled away from Aucuses by infinitely expanding space.

"That’s why the humanity makes God's stronger, it brings out more creativity." Aurelion mused as he narrowly avoided his end.
