THE SUN - War Of Gods Begins

Light vs Darkness

Light vs Darkness

Oct 13, 2024

"Infinity. Endless. Boundless."

Aurelion floated in the vast expanse of space, with streaks of light rippling from his form, intertwining with the very fabric of reality itself. For a fleeting moment, he felt space stretch, expanding into a limitless void where boundaries ceased to exist. Even the Mother Goddess of Depravity, her malignant presence once oppressive, seemed to be swallowed by the infinite distance, vanishing into the horizon.

The absence of its twisted, enraged roars was a blessing to Aurelion's ears. The ravaging voice—no, its very essence—was a cacophony of every blasphemous sound in the entire existence, capable of driving even the mightiest of beings to madness or despair. Those unfortunate enough to hear it would be haunted to the point of seeking death, just to escape the torment.

"It actually worked..." Aurelion thought, tightening his grip on his white spear, his golden gaze sweeping across the endless void he had summoned. The magnitude of his technique left him in awe. "The effect is far greater than I anticipated."

This technique—this "Infinity"—was something he had created recently, yet this was the first time he had truly unleashed it. Aurelion had never been certain of its success, always keeping a contingency in mind. But now, it had bought him precious moments in the face of an overwhelming foe.

The Nephilspawn was unlike any enemy Aurelion had faced before. A pure embodiment of chaos and corruption, a being who thrived in disorder. He knew, deep down, that if this battle dragged on too long, the they would lose. They could not outlast it in an endless war of attrition.

"This reality..." Aurelion’s eyes narrowed as he scanned the space before him, the twisted remnants of the battlefield. "I have to destroy it completely."

It was the only solution. Fighting her in this cursed domain was futile. It wasn’t a matter of outwitting or overpowering her—this reality itself had to be annihilated, along with everything within it.

But such destruction was easier said than done.

With help of divine eyes of sage, the Nephilspawn had fortified this reality, expanding it exponentially. Aurelion had felt the fabric of existence stretch before it even arrived, warping it to accommodate entire planetary systems. It had become a battleground of gods, and it was slipping from his control.

"Giaria..." His thoughts shifted to Giaria, the goddess of life and death. Her authority over "Life" and the "Desolate" could breathe existence into the void or snuff it out in an instant. Together, their combined powers might just be enough to unravel the threads of this false reality.

But Giaria and Aleric were in another plane, crafting the historical scroll. They would not enter the battlefield until the scroll was completed, and until then, it was up to Aurelion to hold off 'it', preventing her from reaching them.

"What if we combined our authorities?" Aurelion’s mind raced with strategy as he remained ever vigilant. Despite the flurry of thoughts, he never once lowered his guard. Even with all his divine perception, he could not truly detect its presence. It moved through the shadows, her essence lurking just beyond his reach.

Though his musings spanned what seemed like eons, only a few seconds had passed.

Boom!

The threads of light that wove through the space around him began to dim and fade, eroded by a vast, oppressive force. Aurelion's grip on his spear tightened, his form glowing as he summoned pure white light to the weapon’s tip.

Then, it appeared.

"By the stars..." Aurelion’s eyes widened in disbelief as he witnessed the manifestation before him. "Does 'its' power truly know no bounds?"

Before him, the very fabric of reality tore apart, ripped open by an unfathomable force. Darkness, more ancient and malevolent like the void itself, spilled forth like a tidal wave, consuming everything in its path. This swirling mass of pure evil expanded, filling the once boundless space with its grotesque presence.

A chill ran diwn aurelions spine. Before him, The darkness was a writhing, twisting entity, filled with countless wails of suffering and terror. The screams of souls trapped within echoed through the void, their pain evident in every tormented cry. This manifestation of darkness housed layer upon layer of abominations—souls of forgotten races, twisted beyond recognition. Some wandered aimlessly, others were tortured, their agony fueling the entity’s power.

At the edge of this swirling mass, alien faces appeared—twisted, horrific forms that bore no resemblance to any creature Aurelion had ever seen. Yet, they all shared one thing in common: their expressions of pure, unadulterated fear.

Above them all, at the very heart of the darkness, hovered the ethrral form of the creature, countless eyes, burning with incandescent rage, fixed on Aurelion with murderous intent. Its hatred was palpable, her hunger for his destruction a force that could rend the cosmos itself.

Aurelion stared back at the evil existence, unwavering. His spear glowed brighter, the pure light contrasting against the encroaching darkness.

"So it begins," he whispered to himself.

The clash between the Almighty Sun and the embodiment of darkness was far from over.

Aurelion stood before the immense, horrifying structure that dwarfed his godly form. It filled nearly the entire reality in his perception, casting shadows across the infinite space. As he gazed at the abomination, a stray thought crossed his mind.

This manifestation was nothing but the embodiment of all that is chaotic, ugly, and most importantly, pure evil there is.

Despite facing such a towering, nightmarish entity, Aurelion remained composed, his expression solemn, betraying no fear. The spear in his hand gathered light at its tip, a radiant, purifying brilliance that held the power to cleanse all that was tainted. The searing brightness filled him with confidence, for he knew his authority over "Light" was the ultimate nemesis of this dark, corrupted being.

Then, from the depths of the abyss, an enraged roar shattered the stillness.

The abyss, a swirling vortex of filth and darkness, began to fall upon him, carrying the weight of destruction and corruption. It was an all-consuming force, powerful enough to annihilate everything in its path.

Boom! Boom!

Reality itself tore apart as the abyss descended, devouring the space between them.

"Light." Aurelion raised his spear and declared.

A beam of pure light erupted from its tip, expanding as it surged forward to meet the abyss. The clash of powers was cataclysmic.

Boom!

The radiant beam collided with the swirling darkness, causing ripples across the very fabric of space. The pure light seared away some of the filth, evaporating parts of the abyss, while the darkness crept in, corrupting the light, twisting it with its malevolent essence.

For a moment, they reached a standstill—a delicate balance between two primal forces. Light versus Darkness. Good versus Evil. A tale as old as time, now playing out on a cosmic scale.

The creatures countless eyes burned with fury as it witnessed her authority being contested by a mere god from Earth. Though weakened, this was still the reality created by itself. Never before had it encountered resistance into its own domain to this degree.

Aurelion's mind raced as he observed the stalemate. But soon, Just as he prepared to unleash another of his divine authorities, a flash of green light appeared behind him, and a deep voice echoed through the cosmic expanse.

Aurelion felt a wave of relief as Giaria materialized beside him. This battle had been far from easy. Facing a 'it' head on even if its weak was still a monumental challenge, and he had been desperately in need of support.

Giaria, emerging from the emerald light, extended her authority over "Life" siphoning the essence from it.

Immediately the eyes flickered and shifted to Giaria. Without hesitation, it unleashed the corruptive authority, seeking to taint Giaria and bind her to her will.

Giaria faltered, her confidence wavering as she felt the creeping tendrils of the Mother Goddess’s power. Panic began to rise within her. Though powerful, her origins lay in the very path this Nephilspawn dominated. To be corrupted by such a force would be her undoing, a fate even Aurelion could not prevent.

But then, just as Giaria began to feel the corrupting influence seep into her soul, a blinding, illusory light shot out from the void, surrounding her and Aurelion in a protective shield.

Around them, projections began to appear—images etched into the cosmic tapestry like ancient scrolls. Some depicted the helplessness and suffering of humanity as they faced the supernatural. Others showed epic scenes of humans using the remains of magical beasts to gain strength, struggling to survive and protect their race. Scenes of a old acient emeprors and gods reign and the cultures he shaped played out like vivid memories.

The projections continued to unfold, weaving the intricate, tragic, and triumphant history of humankind. Finally, a massive image took form—an awe-inspiring portrayal of the ruins of a forgotten civilization. This civilization, though lost to time, had achieved miracles without the aid of extraordinary means, leaving behind a legacy that inspired awe and reverence.

The weight of this grand history—of the rise and fall of countless lives, of the resilience and brilliance of human civilization—filled the air with a majestic aura, enveloping the entire reality. It was an undeniable force, the fire of humanity passed down through the ages.

Giaria, shielded by the might of human civilization itself, felt the Mother Goddess's influence recede. The abyss continued to wither, unraveling under the combined forces of Aurelion's light and Giaria's life-draining power.

The rage of the crearure reached its peak, but there was nothing it could do. The power of all humanity—their collective history, struggles, and triumphs— had thwarted the advancement of spawn of the void.
