Liam and Carter walked silently next to eachoter, neither of them dared to speak up and the omega still looked somewhat nervous. The alpha knew he had to ask him about it, that's why he offered to walk the guy home in the first place. It was a simple question yet hard to ask, Carter was worried it would make him look like a fool or even worse make Liam doubt that he would mate him.

"Hey, um...Can I ask you something?" He started, his heart beating faster.

"Yeah, sure. What is it?" The omega looked at him with a mix of fear and curiosity.

"So, this is kind of awkward, but I want to get married. So what do you think? Will you be my husband?" He asked while he hald Liam's hand gently.

The omega's eyes widened "Married? Why? Mating should be enaugh to stop people from talking." He asked.

"Yeah I know and we will get there I promise, but I've always liked the idea of marrige. I know it sounds really stupid, but I wanted to get married ever since I was a child, I always thought it was a  very romantic thing to do. Neither of us can have the life we've dreamed of and I' aware of that, I guess I just want to make it feel as close to it as I can. You can say no, I won't get mad." The alpha's face lit up at the thought of marrige, he seemed way more genuine to be lieing.

"You're strange, but it's fine. I will gladly be your husband, but I have some conditions" The omega said with a soft smile.

"Alright, fair enaugh" he laughed nervousley "Thanks for doing this. So what are your conditions? Do you want a me to do a public proposal?" he asked.

"That sounds great!" Liam seemed excited "About the conditions, I want to make sure you mate me, I know it's hard for you, but it's the only way to make people shut up. I also want to lie, admitting how I got pregnant is too emberassing and scary, I don't want anyone to think you are doing this out of pity. Lastley I want to ask you to help with the child." he said, the omega wanted to sound confident, but he failed, he was scared of the alph's answer,

"Okay, I can do all of that and there are at least four people who would kill me, if I tried to break this promise. We can tell everyone that we met at the party and it was love at first sight and we were both happy to descover that we are having a baby." Carter smiled. "I'll get the engagement rings and propose to you in public when I have the chance."

"Thanks, that means a lot to me! Luca was right, you really are a great guy" Liam finally let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"You don't have to thank me this should be the bare minimum except for lieing I guess"

Liam looked at him with a sad smile, but he didn't say anything. Carter knew what he was thinking and it made his heart hurt for every male omega out there. Silence wrapped around them like a warm blanket, it was much more comfortable than the one after they left the alpha's house. The two of them were soon standing in front of Liam's place. Without saying a word Carter hugged Liam, it was a warm embrace just like the one at the alpha's house. Soon enaugh the smell of rain filled the air making the omega calm and happy, it gave him a sense of saftey and belonging.

Liam always liked the smell during and after rain so he felt lucky his future husband's pheromones smelled like that. 

They let go of eachoter and said their goodbyes. Liam walked in the house with wide smile and a different smell.
