Kaji loved that atmosphere, but the wind was becoming quite strong,
"So, shall we get back inside? out there is a bit chilly, girls." Kaji was right; it was time to get back inside, but that view was incredibly stunning; Maria was mesmerized by that bright moon in the sky.
"Let's go back in," Kilee said to Maria, inviting her to follow him. She nodded and followed him back in.
They stood there eating while talking comfortably with each other. Helena was the true spirit of unity between them. Maria and Kilee trusted her, and Kaji could not do any tricks in her presence. He did not want to; he just wanted to spend some time out of his family's gaze with a pretext.
After dinner, it was time to explore the mansion, specifically the main hall and the party downstairs.
"Shall we go have a look downstairs?" said Helena, all excited. "Shall we?" continued Maria, curious to see how it was.
"I have to use the bathroom," said Kilee. "You can go ahead," the girls looked at Kaji, who had just incited them to go ahead.
"I will go to the bathroom, too," said Kaji, causing everyone to be a bit concerned. Kilee had to go to the male bathroom because everyone thought she was a man, and she had to go with another man. Outsiders wouldn't see anything strange, but they did know the truth.
Kilee sighed, "Alright, you may go. I will be there soon." Both girls went downstairs while Kilee sighed again, looking at Kaji, and went straight toward the bathroom. "Oh, hey, wait for me," said him, following her. She just wanted to punch him in the face, but it was natural that he would do that, thinking they were both men.
"Do you think she will be fine?" Maria was worried, but Helena laughed, knowing she would use that to mock her cousin later. "Don't worry; she is a Judo black belt," which made Maria speckless; immediately, everything was clear. She understood where those muscles came from.
When they entered the party hall, many people inside stood quiet, looking at the beautiful woman who had just entered. Maria was a beauty, but Helena was also a noticeable beauty, and she was known for her family's high status.
"Let's go and have a drink." Maria nodded and followed Helena to the bar.
The barista freezes, looking at Maria. Helena is satisfied with her work. She spends some time doing her hair and makeup and is proud of the outcome.
"Can we have a sweet cocktail?" Helena half-flirted with the barista, who was dumbfounded. "Of course, my lady," he looked back at Maria again. Do strawberries go well?" asked him. She smiled at him. Of course, thanks." Her humble way of talking made the barista blush like a tomato.
"Good evening! You're very gorgeous," a middle-aged man approached them with a full smile on his face. He definitely was hitting on them. "Are you here alone?" continued he.
"I'm sorry, sir. We are here in company," answered Helena, crossing her arms in disappointment. The man noticed her hostility and turned back to Maria. "This dress does really suit you, miss." But even before she could answer, "Thank you, now excuse us," said Helena. "Let's have a look around before it gets too late." Both nodded their heads, took the drinks, and stood next to the window.
In the corner, a person was attracted by the red sparkling dress. Ioan noticed that the woman standing on the balcony upstairs was in the same hall as him. He died inside out of curiosity to know what her face looked like.
Her shoulders and back looked sexy, and her legs had charms to incant everyone; she was sparkling more than all the other women in that room.
Portia noticed that he was lost, distracted from that planet he was already navigating on his mind. She followed his gaze until she saw two women standing in front of the window, looking outside and laughing happily. She was shocked to recognize Helena standing in that beautiful dress, as she was a top model, but who was that woman beside her? She couldn't remember her; she had to see her face.
"Follow me!" said Portia to Ioan before approaching Helena and that mysterious woman.
"Look who's here," she said, approaching Helena, who instantly gave Portia an upset gaze.
"You crowded here, I see," answered Helena back. Portia was pissed off as hell, then another person stood behind her. Helena froze up, seeing that that person was Ioan; how could someone like him be there.
"Good evening," said Ioan, looking at the other woman who was turning around after hearing familiar voices. Ioan and Maria froze in shock at seeing each other. Ioan's jaw dropped to the floor when he realized that the woman he was looking around was, in fact, his Maria.
"How did you get in here?" Portia asked shamelessly, pointing out her poor origin. Maria did not care about her but was nervous seeing Ioan after the last time.
"Maria, can I have a word with you?" Ioan asked, trying to use the moment presented to him, but she took a step back, shaking her head. "No, we cannot," she said, letting him bite his lips in frustration while trying to keep his composure.
Portia took the chance to mock her publicly. "What's that attitude for?" she said, attracting everyone's attention.
Helen stood up for her friend. "She said she did not want to. Are you deaf?" insisted, showing dominance like a hyena.
"Don't make me laugh. You act all mighty, but you're just a secretary," everyone laughed at hearing that. "Who do they think they are?" said some people behind. "Aren't they ashamed?" continued others.
In all that turmoil, they did not notice that someone else had entered the party hall and was going straight to them. Maria was noticeably angry. Why should she do what they wanted? She was there as a guest, precisely like all the other people.
"Why should I be obligated to?" asked Maria, making Helena proud of her girl. "Who are you to give me orders?" she urged Portia to answer.
"I am your superior," answered Portia. "Or did you forget?" continued her, but even before Maria could answer, a voice behind them answered for her.
"From when?" he asked, leaving everyone speechless. That was the famous Director K, and with him was Director Kaji.
Portia was screwed, "I am a manager," she answered, leaving the Director astonished for a second. "And she is my personal secretary and assistant," he continued, turning back to Maria and Helena.
She had nothing more to say, while Ioan stood no chance to even open his mouth in that situation, and the Director's hostile gaze made him freeze in fear.
"Shall we go?" asked him the two women, who nodded in approval.
Director Kaji stood there looking at them go away with a bitter feeling; he was now in a bad mood.
"Director Kaji good evening," said Portia, trying to approach him in vain as he got away, not even looking in her direction.
After discovering that her boyfriend was cheating, Maria was offered a job at B-Corp, the company of her dreams. However, she was surprised to be hired as the secretary for the workaholic director, Kyle. The only hope remains that they will understand each other over time and eventually learn to communicate. Or will there be more?
