And there he sits. The random man from last night blinks blankly at the wall. His hair is muffed, sticking up in all kinds of directions as he looks around the room like someone that just got knocked in the head really hard. Those blue irises shimmer as they glide over gems and knives, attire of the richest fabrics lined against the wall all in cases. Shined guns and golden necklaces, silver coins and perfect emeralds shimmer in the dim light that the small window above offers, shining down onto his captain's desk. From the desk there's a bed just forward and off to the left- it's on the right if you're walking in through the door.
He flinches when his eyes finally land on Nico, and the blond smiles, holding his hands out towards all of the glimmering cases full of shiny things, “Ya like my collection?”
“Where the fuck am I?” The man snaps, eyes narrowing immediately. How can he look so mean when he looks like a child that just woke up from a nap?
Nico stands there awkwardly with the smile on his face. He was not expecting that gruff of a reaction but he supposes it's warranted, “You're on my ship.”
Those eyes grow three times their size and Nico is honestly surprised by how big the other man's eyes truly are, “Are we on the water?”
“Have been since dawn.” Nico answers, “Sorry, but I have a schedule.”
The brunette presses his lips together, clearly miffed as he looks down at the blankets over his lap with an angry glare, “Shit.” Is all he says.
Nico was honestly expecting a bit more of a blow up. The other man must not have places to be if he isn't more pissed about this sudden situation, “Well uh… You're welcome to stay on the ship until the next island if you wish.” He walks over to his desk, boots clacking across the floor as he leans over his map, “We weren't planning to stop until Vincent but we can drop you off at Marian if you want…”
The man glances at him over his shoulder as Nico looks up at him. For a moment his angry eyes contemplate and then he shakes his head, looking utterly irritated, “No, Vincent's fine. Need to get up there anyways.”
“Alright then.” Nico nods, walking back around his desk to instead stand next to the bed. He places his hands on his hips, looking down at the other guy. Those blazing blue eyes glower up at him, “You can sleep in the quarters with the crew, but for the next couple days I'd like it if you slept in here since you're injured.”
The man frowns, looking down at said injuries with blank eyes before shaking his head, “No, I'll sleep with the crew.” He grumbles, moving to push himself up, “I'll be fine.”
“Are you sure?” Nico asks, taking a step back as the shorter man stands. The alpha clenches his jaw so he doesn't laugh as the skinny guys body lurches forward worryingly, “You're swaying-”
“Am not.” He snaps, but then he promptly falls backwards, eyes rolling backwards momentarily. Nico sighs, placing an arm around his shoulders so that he doesn't fall in the bed too roughly.
“Fuck.” The man glares, and Nico shrugs.
“Guess you'll have to listen.” He suggests. That earns him sneer. He snorts, “You're funny.”
The brunette makes a disgusted face at him, “And you're not.”
Nico laughs a little louder, “What's your name, angry man?”
Angry man frowns, eyes narrowing as he stares into the captain's soul. The blond waits patiently, hands tapping along his knees as those blue eyes bore into him in an almost untrusting way, that freckled face scrunched into so much constant anger that Nico wonders if he can turn it off.
“My names Luca.”
