Walking inside his house, Jake panted heavily as he had just run his heart out. He still felt powered up though as he hurriedly went to his room. Having a little time to himself, he made sure to recall the wonderful scene and give his little brother a good time.
After a minute, he sighed heavily as he washed up. With a new clarity in his mind, he opened his book up. He first wanted to check his relationship page.
<Relationships
Mother…
Father….
Selina…
Joana Hickory: 6 (She thinks you are a silly little guy)>
Seeing the status, Jake didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He had hoped that he was a little higher than Selina but he was sad to see she only thought of him as a little brother figure. Clenching his fist, he had a determined look, "I must raise her interest in me!" Thinking about that divine body, he swallowed in ecstasy.
Flipping to another page, he looked at the quest page. There were two pages under this title, the daily quest and the monthly quest, both separated into different pages. When he glanced at the daily quest page he noted that it had been marked as complete.
<Daily Quest: Run!
Description: Run five miles by the end of the day!
Miles Ran: 5 / 5
Reward: Wheel Ticket>
As he looked at the page, a surprised shock sounded from his mouth. "What the!" In front of his eyes, the page turned a golden luster as he sunk within the book. Now, the monthly quest was on top while the golden daily quest was behind it. Flipping the page to it, he noticed some changes. Sitting on it was a small red ticket. It reminded Jake of a train ticket. Picking it up, he read, "Wheel Ticket, 000001" Seeing that this was really what he thought it was, Jake grew excited.
Looking back at the golden page, it had a big complete stamp marked on top of it, and the date at which it occurred. Jake raised an eyebrow at the weird happenings, but Jake didn't care to ask. Picking up the ticket, he smiled once again though. His first thought was to get rid of the book and see if the ticket was independent. He learned in school that if you tore a piece of paper but unsummoned the book, the paper would still disappear.
Looking at the disappearing book, he glanced at his hand and was surprised to see the wheel ticket still there. "Well, I guess I can't have a special secret space within my book." Sighing, he opened up the book once again.
<Shop
Wheel Spin: 1 Wheel Ticket or 500 Shop Points (SP)>
As if knowing what he wanted to do, when he opened up the page, he saw the wheel ticket in his hand start to burn. 'Ah what the heck!' dropping the flaming ticket, he looked up only to discover something crazy. The book in front of him had opened, and on a page was a simple wheel, but as it opened further, the wheel inside the book started to come out. After only a few seconds a 3-foot-tall wheel stood on top of the book as it floated in front of him. 'This is just too crazy!'
He tried reading the sections on the wheel, but it all just looked like scribbles. 'I thought I would be able to see my options beforehand.' Sighing, he stepped up to it and held a red piece that said "SPIN!". Using a little of his strength he spun the wheel as it made a whooshing sound. Jake crossed his fingers as he chanted what he wanted, "Another peeking device, another peeking device!" He couldn't help but ask for it considering what he saw earlier.
Soon, the wheel started to slowly stop as it slowly hit each section. Finally, after landing on what looked like a blue part of the wheel, it finally stopped. After that, the wheel slowly disintegrated as it all fell into the book. Picking up the book, he read the new page that had been created.
<Congrats! You have got the Low Stat Multiplier (Strength)!
Item: Low Stat Multiplier (Strength)
When used, the time it takes to build strength is multiplied by 10.
The duration is one week.>
Jake was surprised when he read the description. "Does such a magical thing exist?" Although it wasn't the peeping advice he had hoped for, it still seemed promising. On the bottom of the page he saw a note that when he wanted to activate it, he could just tear the page. "I wonder, what do the different stats do?" He guessed a lot of them but he was still unsure. For example, intelligence was a very broad term that could encompass a lot of things.
Finally, after a few minutes of debating, he sighed. "It seems I have no choice but to go to the book for answers. With a disgruntled expression, he wrote his question down, which in return gave him an answer.
<There are six main stats with main bonuses and hidden bonuses. Strength is how heavy you can lift things. Constitution is how much stamina you have, with a bonus of increased immunity to bodily things. Dexterity is precise when you move your body, with a bonus of reaction speed. Intelligence is how knowledgeable you are. Wisdom is how you use that knowledge, with the bonus of a stronger mind. Charisma is how likely you are to persuade someone. HINT (This is not all of the available stats.)>
Looking at the description Jake sighed, 'I could've guessed for most of them, but to think there are actually hidden stats,' Jake was kind of excited about finding those out, could they be something like luck? Thinking about it made him happy. Who wouldn't wanna increase their luck?
One thing in particular caught his eye though, the wisdom stat that increases how strong his mind is. With a stronger mind, he could peer further into the changing rooms! With a goal in mind, Jake felt excited. Having done everything he wanted to do, Jake went to bed soundly.
