I lay on the bed and immediately rolled around. I almost embarrassed myself in front of that handsome elf. He is dreamy indeed, his future partner is lucky.
I giggle to myself then I get up and try one of the tarts, a tart that was called Sour Heaven. I take a bite and it is heaven alright. Anything that has lemons in it is the best. I finish the tart in three more bites and put the rest away. I open up my magic bag and look over the things I bought for the hunt tomorrow. I have to be fully prepared if I’m to deal with that beast.
I leave for the forest first thing in the morning. I made sure my disguise was perfect, and wore clothes comfortable to roam around in. The raven guild master wanted me to deal with a monster known as the hardest creature to deal with around this area, the Poison Lizard.
It may sound like a cute creature, but it is fifteen feet tall. The forest itself is huge where most wildlife live, especially the estranged sacred beast that recedes only here.
I carefully tread around the forest, and occasionally stop to look at the tame beasts. They look so peaceful and I want to make sure it stays that way. I hear rustling of bushes in the distance and I makeshift my staff into a blade. I find a large tree and hide behind it to scurry my surroundings. After a while, small animals are running away.
“I guess I don’t have to look around for the lizards” I whisper to myself.
While making my footsteps light, I walked towards the area where the animals ran away from and it didn’t take me long to locate the Poison Lizards. Yeah, there were a few roaming around and crushing a few prey they had caught.
While the lizards were occupied, I walked up behind one of them and quickly found a weak spot, which is by their legs, where the scales are the weakest, and stabbed the lizard as hard as I could. The monster screeches and all their attention falls on me.
The extermination lasted for five hours as there were a few around and I needed time to take a breather and heal from some damage I sustained.
Normally, you’d find four or five Poison lizards roaming together, however, there were twelve lizards grouped together which is unusual. Unless someone brought them here to deliberately cause an issue, there is no way for twelve poison lizards to be together. I’ll have to mention this to the raven guild master so they can deal with it appropriately.
Before I leave, I take out the poison lizard's eyes, as well as a few scales from the neck area. The eyes can be used in high quality medicine. I can probably sell the scales for good money down the road. The blacksmiths will love it. I carefully cut some lizard meat as well.
After making sure the sacred beasts are satisfied, I return to the guild with my spoils.
