Lucy noticed his father's and Tadi's reactions and started chuckling, clearly enjoying their astonished expressions.

"Dadhdahdahda—wahahah—tatahtahata!"

Sigh—

Kabun and Tadi glanced at the cushion and sighed in unison.

"Master, don't worry. The blue pads covered the cushion."

Earlier, Lucy had pooped and farted, but he only soiled the soaker pad that covered the changing cushion on top of the drawer.

"I haven't even fed him yet. Where did all this urine and stool come from?" Kabun muttered, furrowing his brows.

"Ah, I remember now." Kabun began cleaning Lucy up while answering his own questions. After making sure Lucy was dry, he put on a fresh diaper, clean pants, and socks.

Tadi helped by rolling up the blue pad with the soiled wipes, then disposing of it before replacing it with a new one, ready for the next changing time. He knew Lucy would need to be changed again in two to three hours.

Lucy stretched out his arms as he floated closer to Kabun, who carried him in his arms while Tadi floated nearby.

Kabun walked out of the master bedroom and headed down the stairs.

"Master, where are we going?" Tadi asked.

"Outside to the pavilion."

The pavilion in the backyard was simple, yet it offered enough coverage to protect a couch and an open fire pit in the center.

Kabun walked outside until he reached an L-shaped couch in the pavilion. He placed Lucy in the corner of the couch and materialized a 500mL baby bottle filled with milk.

"The temperature is about 37 degrees Celsius, Master," Tadi reported after scanning the milk, keeping an eye on Lucy.

"...."

"Master, do you need help?" Tadi asked, noticing that Kabun was holding the bottle without moving.

"Just show me a video," Kabun replied, and the bottle disappeared from his hand.

"Yes, Master," Tadi said as he quickly found a suitable video.

A few minutes later, Kabun picked Lucy up, positioning him upright on his left thigh and supporting him with his left arm. He tilted Lucy's head slightly and materialized the milk bottle in his right hand. Lucy, who had been quiet all this time, instinctively reached for the bottle and began sucking on the nipple as soon as it came near.

...

"Ah—" Tadi exclaimed, still surprised by the events of their first day in this new world.

Lucy finished the entire bottle of milk in one feeding.

"Master, is that normal?" Tadi asked, his voice tinged with concern.

"I don't know. We'll find out if it's okay based on his reaction later," Kabun responded calmly as he held Lucy upright and gently burped him.

Burrrppppp!!!

Lucy let out a loud burp without spitting up any milk. Kabun soothingly rubbed his back, and Lucy began to yawn.

Skitt—

Tadi tried to pull the crib closer to the couch, but it was too heavy and made a lot of noise. To avoid waking Lucy, Kabun teleported the crib next to him.

He carefully placed Lucy in the crib, but as soon as he let go, Lucy stirred and began to fuss. Kabun picked him up again, and Lucy settled back down, sleeping contentedly in his arms.

This happened multiple times, and eventually, Kabun gave up. He sat back on the couch, letting the sleeping Lucy rest on his lap as he enjoyed the peaceful evening outside.

It was the end of the spring week, and everyone in the village was busy tending to their farms. The temperature was neither too cold nor too warm. The sun warmed the pavilion's roof while a cool breeze passed, bringing a refreshing chill.

Kabun closed his eyes, feeling the breeze brush against his cheeks. He listened to the birds chirping and the rustling leaves swaying in the wind.

Noticing his master beginning to doze off, Tadi gently picked up Lucy, who remained undisturbed as he was placed in the crib. Just as Tadi was about to step away, the sleeping baby hugged him tightly, prompting Tadi to stay inside the crib.

…

Inside the house, from the living room to the wooden fence, the design had been transformed from a simple medieval style into a twenty-first-century modern home with electricity. However, from the outside beyond the fence, the house still looked like any other two-story structure, with nothing but overgrown grass swaying in the front and backyards.

Outsiders would only notice the small critters flying and crawling about, but they wouldn’t see or hear the house’s three residents, even if the latter were walking outside.

An hour later, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a reddish-purple glow over everything. The colors deepened across the sky, especially on the clouds, which looked like cherry-flavored cotton candy drifting with the wind.

The air turned chilly and picked up strength, causing the trees to rustle and the wooden furniture outside to creak.

"Achoo!" Lucy sneezed as the cold touched his nose.

He slowly opened his watery eyes and shivered when the breeze reached his belly.

"Wahhhhhhh!"

And so, another cycle of coaxing, feeding, diaper changing, playtime, and napping began for everyone in the house.

Kabun awoke to the sound of Lucy's cries. He skillfully scooped the baby up and walked back into the house, heading to the master bedroom, where he materialized a bottle of milk and began feeding him while standing by the window, enjoying the view outside.

It took a while, but after two hours, Lucy was once again sound asleep in his crib—this time in the living room on the first floor, beside his father, who was quietly reading a book.

Growl—Growl—Growl—

Kabun continued reading, seemingly unbothered by his growling stomach.

"Master~" Tadi called out, concerned by the persistent sound.

"Hmmm…" Kabun responded nonchalantly.

Tadi pointed out, "Your body is hungry."

"Is that what it was? I blocked my senses but couldn't block the noise. I suppose I should eat, then?" Kabun realized this, thanks to Tadi’s reminder. He got up and walked to the kitchen, where he waved his hand, causing a proper meal—complete with utensils for one person—to materialize on the table.

I wish I could say that this mighty god ate like a majestic noble, with poise and impeccable etiquette, a rare genius among geniuses who appears once in a million years. But no…

He ate like Tarzan in front of Jane, grabbing the main dish with his hands and devouring it as juice dribbled down his neck, staining his clean clothes. He hadn't even bothered to wash his hands beforehand. He burped between bites, and when he finally felt full, he stopped, leaving the table behind in utter disarray—like a crime scene.

Tadi was utterly traumatized. His small figure shivered at the edge of the table, facing away with his eyes and ears covered by his paws.

He understood why his master didn’t know how to eat like a humanoid. It was like an average human not knowing how ants eat or not caring about how mosquitoes lay their eggs. However, witnessing his master—one of the most powerful beings in the known universe—act no better than a wild beast was simply unacceptable to him. He would rather erase the entire experience from his memory.

There was once a being revered as a god in a universe with a trillion stars. How many of these stars could sustain life was unknown, but this universe no longer exists.

When that universe disappeared, another took its place. It sprouted many new stars, and after a long time, life also followed.

Many stars that established civilization still feel the echoes from the old universe.

There was a legend that if an individual whispered a particular god's name and wished dearly, offering the most precious thing they had in return, it would grant them one wish.

These wishes could be as simple as having food and shelter for a day or as outlandish as making someone fall in love with them or disappear from existence.

This legend can be traced back to when sentient life forms developed ways of passing down verbal and non-verbal knowledge. The story comes in different versions, but the main message remains: one wish, one sacrifice, by one life.

Strangely enough, this particular god received a series of peculiar wishes from different individuals across various stars in the new universe.

Nameless god: “What is your wish?”

Lucy: “To be reborn in a fantasy world with you as my father who loves me dearly until the end of my natural life.”

Nameless god: ┬─┬ノ(ಠ_ಠノ)

Mike: “To relive my life with you as my lovely little sister.”

Nameless god: (╯°□°)╯( ┻━┻)

Gabby: “Mom.”

Nameless god: ┻━┻ ︵ ¯_(ᴼل͜ᴼ)_/¯ ︵ ┻━┻

Nameless god: “Who is whispering my name to these people across the universe, spreading it like a common cabbage on the roadside!? Come out, and I promise I will not do anything ungodly. Let's talk about life, hmmm!!!”

Unbeknownst to this god, there was more to his myth than he knew.
