The next moment Alex was covered in a very thick black-mana. Then using all his might Alex flew in the sky. He kept on going until he was at least 10000 feet into the sky. He then positioned himself above the vortex’s head. 6 swords appeared around Alex as they started spinning in a circular motion around him. Alex covered his sword in electricity as he kicked his back foot and launched himself into the vortex.

Alex concentrated on increasing his speed as his descend became faster and faster. As Alex entered the vortex, the heat started increasing exceptionally. The swords around him kept him from getting burnt and melt down as he kept on going.

Magma was trying to sense some kind of danger relying on his well-trained instincts since he couldn’t detect Alex as he had no magic whatsoever. Suddenly he felt something shot past through him and out of the vortex as the vortex disappeared. He then suddenly felt excruciating pain as he screamed and looked down at his right hand. It was no longer there and had been cut.

He then spotted Alex getting up, with the support of his bloodied sword. He had used the swords around him to fight the vortex’s heat and to enter. Not to mention he stopped resisting and used the vortex’s momentum to get launched at Magma like a bullet. The judgement required to do this was almost monstrous!

‘Shit I missed.’ Alex thought as he took his fighting posture. Magma chanted something after which lava covered his wound and cooled off. Magma distanced himself from Alex as a frown appeared on his face.

‘If I keep holding back, he’ll kill me before I know it.’ Magma thought as his heart raced. He had made a terrible mistake!

Magma was having a great time fighting with a soul holder person who was this strong. To continue his amusement, he was deliberately holding back. But it now dawned on him that Alex wasn’t going all out at all; it was all an act. Right from the very beginning Alex had put on a show to let Magma believe that he had a chance. But now Magma thought otherwise.

Alex himself knew that Magma had realized it. As for Miracle, he was completely in the dark still under the impression, that this is going to be a difficult fight. But after seeing this he wasn’t sure anymore.

Miracle, ‘You were holding back all this time?’

‘Kind of’ Alex replied.

‘But why!?’

‘Because your estimates are correct, he is indeed stronger than us but remember this, those with strength are not always the winner. If I had gone at him with full strength, right from the beginning, I might have landed some good blows but I wouldn’t have been able to kill him. Not to mention that guy looks scary as hell…’ Alex explained as he tried to hide his trembling hands.

Miracle released a long sigh internally wondering when will this trait of Alex’s go away. Regardless he was impressed with strategy.

‘But then just now we lost our chance. The surprise attack failed.’ Miracle commented bringing back his focus to Magma.

‘That was unfortunate, I am still not used to this strength but now, he is rattled. And now he will definitely make mistakes.’

‘I see… so you have already won… that Chinese hat insect he made this wimp improve by this much in such a short span of time.’ Miracle thought to himself.

“You think you’re winning kid? Don’t kid yourself! I will kill you just like how I killed that other twin brat you brought with yourself!” Magma roared as a sudden rise of mana came from his body.

Alex’s eye widened. ‘Oi… Miracle, what is he talking about?’

‘I think he sent something after that twin insect… I am not sure… previously I had expanded my mana senses to a fix area where you are fighting but now… I could sense a mana signature quite similar to that thing he brought just now.’ Miracle explained.

The next moment Magma released a three-fold magic attack which transformed into a lava and flame made beast with the head of a dragon. It travelled at great speeds as it came to consume Alex. However, Alex just stood there watching as it made its way to him.

But it suddenly stopped just a couple of centimeters away from Alex and then disappeared. Magma fell on the ground with 6 black swords pierced through his arms and legs. In the panic of eliminating Alex, Magma had failed to conceive the danger around him which he was previously able to. Magma screamed in pain as he tried to get up but it proved futile.

The swords then hovered in air with Magma’s body and erected his body straight so that he was facing Alex. Magma wanted to say something or even scream but he was scared to even move a muscle now. The kid from before didn’t look so innocent now. The previous news seemed to have made him quite angry. Alex reached for Magma to take the dagger which he stole from Renly

‘Alex, look out!’  

Miracle warned but it was a little late as a purple beam of mana came from out of nowhere upon Alex and Magma.

*Cough* *Cough*

Dogging to the side Alex got up as he looked at the secret assailant. He had immediately activated his aura ball but before it could fully take shape he was blown away by the explosion, resulting in injuring his left arm.

“Such a strong element of lava, a powerful curse… wasted on a fool, tch.” Bodi clicked his tongue as he took the dagger from the dead body Magma. And the next moment marron colored mana flowed out of Magma’s body until curled itself into an orb the size of one’s fist. Bodi quickly grabbed it.
