only to be dragged away by her grandfather. Now all she could do was listen as he got punished for it. Hearing her father tell him it was her fault. That he wouldn’t be in so much pain if not for her. She heard how her baby brother denied it and said it wasn’t her fault. Defending her as she could only think how foolish he was being. Feeling overwhelming guilt but also feeling angry and him just lying down taking her beating.

  Naken continued to try and be as normal as possible, acting like he wasn’t hurting. Constantly telling himself as long as he stays strong and acts like how he used to for Natalia she would be happy. He kept up the act as he took on the blame that his father and grandfather threw out. Even blaming himself for Natalia being trapped in that house with him. The worst of it was Natalia's words of resentment and anger. She would constantly yell about him not leaving her alone and telling him to stop being a crybaby. Evey complaint and harsh word she said about him he used to make himself the better version. Putting away his books on magic and other items that he loved so she wouldn’t be upset in any way. Before he used to run to her showing what he made and could do but now he hides it. His magic ability being his little secret. He would enchant the old toys he had as a kid talking with them and showing his magic. It started getting to the point he spent most of his free time alone exploring magic. He started reading more advanced books his grandfather brought to teach him in the future. He even found Natalia’s old doll their mother had made for her when she was first born. Deciding to make a gift for her hoping a friend would make her feel better. Especially because she started looking sickly from refusing to eat some days. 

  When the gift was finished he snuck into her room one night seeing her just hugging a pillow and looking at the wall normally. He quietly called to her seeing she was wearing a more
