bittersweet smile. He walked to stand in front of her holding out the doll. “Nata look what I found. I cleaned her up and even made it so you two could play together again.” The little doll lets out a slight wave with its stitched mouth turning into a smile. Naken looks up smiling happy only to be confused by his sister’s face. Her face morphed into one of horror and resentment. She quickly snatched the doll, gripping it tightly and grabbed his shirt. “Naken, why the hell would you do this! You should have burned it or something. Never do this again you hear me. It’s disgusting and a worthless talent. Don’t ever bring something like this infront of me or our family again.” She then had him burn the doll using magic as he cried, being more hurt that he upset her more. Along with her calling something he was proud of disgusting and worthless. She slowly calmed down looking to see how much she actually hurt his feelings. The overwhelming guilt ate at her as she went to hug him. Apologizing for being so mean and that he didn’t know. He hugged her back until he stopped crying and moved away slightly. Natalia was hurt by this, realizing how uncomfortable he looked. Naken has never pulled away from her first, having always clung to her. He told her he’s sorry and that he would leave her alone for the night. She offered for him to stay with her while she reads to him like they used to. However he only said he doesn’t want to ask if they could do that another day.
After that incident Naken closed off more and locked himself in his room more. Natalia going to check on him, unable to feel anything but guilty. He still smiled for her but it looked almost painful sometimes. This only made her try harder to make it up to him. Which made him feel worse about himself saying he’s taking advantage of her good heart. Eventually they both got back to almost what they had. However, Naken was still a bit more closed off. He was also more careful around Natalia, sometimes accidentally ruining books. Along with things he works on to hide them from her.
