Chapter 12: The Boogie Man
Atmist the shadows, lives a monster in the making, he was trapped by the higher specimen. The higher specimen called the celestials, had foreseen the actions of the boogie man. They decided to trap him in a prison before he could do anything. He stayed trapped in a dark cell in a dark planet where they keep the dangerous. He didn't understand why, he didn't do anything, not yet at least. They could have helped him, or helped lead him into a different direction.
Although, during the night, he heard the alarms, someone had escaped. He desperately tries to break free from the celestial sealed talisman that held him away. Suddenly, his talisman started to disintegrate, the celestials who made the talisman had died, or more accurately, killed. He quickly removes the talismen, he knows he probably has limited time, so he tears his arms accidentally breaking his wrists while trying to escape. Once he does he tries opening the door, he yanks and yanks it falling back the door opening up. This is the time, his time, it's the time for the boogie man to escape his captivity.
He falls over a bit as he tries to walk, his legs almost limb from being locked up and alone. He grips the dark walls. The halls of the cells are bricked like with black colored paint. There’s barely any light, he looked up to stare at it. He hears many loud alarms which hurt his ears. He starts his attempt to run away.
He ends up at the end of the hall to see a tall figure dressed in beige robes. His head covered in a black veil which blocks his face He turns to see guards running towards their direction. He quickly looks back at the figure as he speaks for the first time.
“ Help” he says dryly yet desperate.
Is all he could figure out to say to the figure. It turns and notices the boogie man and the guards as he looks at the door then back at the man. In the man’s perspective, he looks ... unfamiliar. His skin and body are nothing but black. Like his body isn’t sure what a body is supposed to be. An uncanny valley.
He grumbles as he picks up the boogie man and runs. They end up outside the dark planet. The man places down the boogie man. They’re very far away from the large prison now in its dark woods.
“ Can I ask your name?” The Boogie man asks on the floor trying to stand.
“ Diz” the man replies as he tussles through the inside of his clothes looking for something. The boogie man nods repeating his name in his head. Diz finds a map traced in blood, he glances at the boogie man.
“ And what’s your name?” Diz asks.
The boogie Man had his name used rarely , the guards and celestials would just call him “thing” or “it”. He remembered what they would call him when he was free.
Viven
To Live
“ It’s Viven” the boogie man reveals. He tries to stand up leaning against a tree, while looking through the visible parts of his veil. “ How’d you escape?” Viven asks. Diz starts walking following his map as Viven follows behind. “ I broke in, I wasn’t captured,” Diz says. Viven asks why while they continue to walk.
“ I needed information from someone in there,” Dizs says. Viven wonders if he asked the celestial that had imprisoned Viv just to kill the celestial and draw out the map in his blood.
“ Can I follow you?” Viven asks as he thinks again. “ where are you even going?”
“ To help my revolution” Diz explains and Viven listens carefully. He thinks about this “revolution”, he agrees, he hates the celestials. He hates them for imprisoning him for actions yet to happen. They shouldn’t be in their positions in the first place.
The years go on since they had met. Viven was still trying to figure out what he was. His form changed ever so slightly, picking up features he liked from the celestials they had slaughtered together.
Many many years go by, Viven started to feel a type of “ indifference”. He thought Dizs plan wouldn’t be effective. He didn’t want to kill the necessary, he wanted to kill them all. He’d only let Diz survive if he let him have his way.
He soon departed from Diz and decided to do it his way. After a few centuries he ended up on a peaceful and green planet to hunt. He found the celestial in hiding, Simteria. The planet started to rot with its absence of power. He sensed new people on the planet, their aura close to the man he used to follow day to night.
He sneaks in the shadows finding a blonde haired man with tan skin and a taller man, his face hidden with a cloth. Could it be? His savior replaced him with that? He sneaks into the shadows pulling the blonde man down.
