2001, 12 AM.
Marcus beamed looking at the sky as the fireworks went off. He heard people screaming and celebrating from the other side of the beach. He took in a deep breath and looked at the ocean, “Happy New year”, He said with his whole heart.

Life began for Marcus. He sold the ring he had bought and opened a Fashion Boutique and
redesigning shop. Though the business went dull for couple of months, and though it was difficult, it didn’t tire him. If anything, it only motivated him to do more. For, his passion is rekindled. His shop soon got many customers, He even hired few people for store managing.
Marcus moved to a better house. His no more on the edge. And when he does, he exactly knows where to find himself again. And just like that, Life bloomed for Marcus. He met couple of women and broke up couple of times. But it did not affect him much, for he knows the best is yet to come.
His friend Paul got married in the meantime. He travelled to countries finding new cultures and people.
He found a friend in himself. He found comfort in his own company. And on the spring, He found the woman, who saw him, for him. Her Name Noah. She is not his Home and He is not Hers, for they both found home in themselves and that is what makes each other to love and appreciate each other. They both had great falls, they both picked themselves up and came to love themselves. Their love for each other came from the love they gave themselves.
And by the end of the year, Marcus married Noah.
.
.
5 years Later,
Marcus stood by the shore, holding hands with Noah, as their 3 years old daughter played in the waves. Noah looked worried. “Aria! Don’t go farther”, Noah called out. I squeezed her hand in mine as she looked up at me. “She’ll be fine”, Marcus said with a smile, which Noah returned. Noah learned Marcus’s past. They both stared at the horizon afar.
Years might pass, Marcus knew, that Back to the ocean, is where he’ll go.
-THE END-
