“Nope! Not today!” I quickly jump into the center of the ophidia’s lower jaw, and kicking off of the upper jaw, I leap on top of the giant, golden egg. “This is one boy who’s not on the menu today!”
I look down at the serpent that almost bit me with a shocked look upon my face. The serpent head on the right side has warped the ground around the area into a river of blue poison, causing anyone who touches it to shrivel up and die instantly. The Milky Poison River it’s called.
“Oh! Crap! This is all just a big misunderstanding! Can we just talk about thi-!”
As soon as I turn around the ophidia’s massive tail hits me so hard that it sends me flying away from the immediate danger. “Shit! …I’m going to die!” I say no sooner than I crash into a small fur bark tree.
“Lifesaver! Mmm… It feels so soft!” I jump to the ground without a moment of celebration as I hear the ophidia snarl at me. “Damn! Thanks for the save!” I say as I land and pet the fur on the tree. Suddenly, I hear the rasping of the ophidia’s belly scales dragging across the ground. “Aaand that’s my cue to leave!” I cry, making a mad dash away from the danger.
As I leave the comfort of the tree and enter back into the danger of the jungle, I notice something strange out of the corner of my eye. One of the leaves falling. “Huh? Ash? Am I seeing things?” I wonder.
It is quickly swept up by the wind that the ophidia creates while chasing me down. I continue to run. “It must have been my imagination!” I start to increase my speed. “For now, I need to get the hell out of here! Damn, ophidia! Ruining my totally awesome and not-at-all-selfish adventure!” I say with frustration.
Just then, the serpent head in the middle strikes at me. “OH NO YOU DON’T!” I shout as I grab onto a nearby branch, propelling me towards the upper level of the tree tops. “Trust me! I’m not that healthy to eat!”
The ground where the serpent struck begins to warp, causing sharp poisonous needles to appear. It’s called the 24-Hour Death Crawl. With just a single scratch the victim becomes paralyzed, only able to crawl as they are left to a slow, painful death.
“Safe! There’s no way they can get me all the way up here!” I look below me and notice the serpent head on the left inhaling, its mouth expanding massively.
“Oh shit! This isn’t good! Here it comes!” The serpent exhales out a yellow gas that carries microscopic, killer bugs that will chew through you in mere seconds. The Micro Shave it’s called.
“Kekekeke! It wouldn’t be the Deep Jungle without a little danger!” I laugh giddily while casually diving towards the lower part of the jungle, avoiding the Micro Shave all together. I land in a tree, snapping off a small branch on the way. I grab hold of a vine and swing to the ground. “Aaand I’ll just take a little bit off the bottom.” I say before removing part of the vine also.
“Where is it?! Where is it?!” I quickly look around for the object I desire. “There it is!” My eyes light up with excitement as I grab a sharp rock with my hand. “Alright!” I shout and swiftly tie the sharp rock and the small branch together with the vine, making a makeshift spear.
“Awesome! This should work! Now, where is that rock?!” I ask myself while hunting for the raglan rock. “I remember Ramsey was nagging me about a special feature of the raglan.” Running past the rock, I strike it with the spear as hard as I can; the sparks begin to fly. “That if you can hit it hard enough, then it should cause an explosion!”
All of the surrounding area erupts in a massive explosion, sending everything flying in different directions.
