“Oh! This doesn’t look good! We need to hurry! Ramsey! Like right now!” I look over at Ramsey and see he’s way ahead of me. “Hey! Jerk! Don’t leave me behind!”

The serpent strikes at me fiercely. “Hang on, Maka!” I tuck Maka under one arm and jump towards a tree, planting my feet so I can grab a vine and begin running sideways along the tree.

“We’ve got to hurry, Kai; that attack has a 5 meter radius!” Maka says while rummaging through his backpack.

“What, are you serious?! That’s amazing! Kekekeke!” I cry out with exuberant laughter.

“This is not a laughing matter! Y---You know I’m afraid of dying!” Maka shouts, his eyes tightly closed.

“I know,” I reply.

“Here it is!” Maka exclaims, pulling out a small device from his backpack.

“Huh? Garbage?” I ask, confused.

“No it’s not, Kai! Let me focus!” Maka begins to struggle with the device, doing his best to connect some wires together.

“Huh?” I look up and see the serpent head on the left ready to blow out her Micro Shave.

“I’m sorry, Maka, but you need to hold on tight!” I order as I backflip off of one tree and on to the next. “Kekekeke! This is awesome!” I crow as I begin to run straight up the tree, narrowly escaping the serpents attack.

“Hope you’re ready, Maka!” I declare while preparing to jump off the tree.

“Here; take this and push the button in the middle!” Maka cries as he hands me the device.

“Alright! You got it!” I hit the button on the device and it begins to transform into some kind of machine that is meant to be ridden upon. “Alright! This is too cool!” I quickly hop on as it grows vines, wrapping them around my legs. I turn and look at Maka. “What is this thing?!”

“Oh, this thing?!” Maka looks at me and smiles while holding on. “This is a new nature tech prototype that my father has been working on! It’s called an Auracraft!”

I look down at the board while riding it and smile. “Auracraft? That’s a cool name! Alright, let’s go pick up Ramsey and get the hell out of here!”

The serpent’s middle head darts forward; its giant maw encircling us. “Kai, lean forward on it! That should make it go faster!” Maka screams.

“Alright! Here goes nothing!” With a slight tilt forward it begins pushing off the mouth of the snake, propelling me forward, spiraling up so that I exit upside down between the two top fangs as the lower jaw closes, barely missing us. “Yahoo! This day has been freaking awesome!” I exclaim, carrying my momentum forward and continuing to spiral so that I can land right-side up.

“W- w-wa- wait for us, Ramsey!” Maka shouts.

Ramsey turns around only to find us hitting him dead on. “Grab him, Maka!”

“Got him!” Maka declares while holding on to me with one arm and Ramsey with the other.

“Alright! Don’t let go! Time to get out of here!” I proclaim while smiling.

“Are you trying to kill me, Fukai?!” Ramsey yells at me.

“I’m pretty sure I just saved you!” I snort while trying to steer the Auracraft.

“I doubt that!” Ramsey responds, closing his eyes.

“Ummm… Kai! The Auracraft can’t handle this big of a load!” Maka warns.

*Poof.*

“Huh? What’s that sound?” I question while looking around, wondering.

Ramsey sighs and says, resignedly, “I’m pretty sure that was the engine giving out, because it couldn’t handle the load.” Ramsey opens his eyes and continues flatly. “And it looks like we’re about to crash.”

“Wait! What?!” All of a sudden, the Auracraft begins to pour out smoke as it descends towards the ground. “Brace yourselves, everyone!” I shout.
