Host - What are your thoughts on these recent riots occurring in different parts of the Dome?

DOME HQ

 Silence is in the Dome’s council room. The council members were looking down on the city from the council room’s floor which was made of glass. Karl enters the council room to address the council.

INTERVIEW

Oliver - Well, in the event of the split, happened on 6th December 2158; and the massacre of humanity on 8th January 2159 along with the sealing of the gates of the 2 dome cities we have on this side on 10th January 2159, we have lost a tremendous innocent souls to the catastrophe and to the mouths of those beasts we call Headhunters. May their souls rest in peace. From that fateful day, any connections with the outside world have been cut entirely. So far, the cause of the split is still unknown, Which raises a serious concern on the intensity of the problem. However, Life has a tendency to adapt to its surroundings, to survive; So is the Humanity on the planet. Thanks to the marvelous dome cities, humanity still continues to prosper inside the dome city, not to forget setting aside the differences of multiple Countries to survive. But there is a question, a question that, what if someone was alive in the outside world that we left, what if they have been suffering for the last 3 years, and with the recent events of getting signals from the outside world, this question raises a humanitarian concern.

Host - Yeah, like there was a video being viral of a person claiming that he had seen his girlfriend being online on a social media platform who he thought died in the headhunter massacre.

Oliver - Yeah and these people are causing riots, disturbing the administration in the dome cities.

Host - And what is the council doing in this regard.

Oliver - I don’t know, (smiles)… I am not a member of the council.

Host - Yeah, right, So what’s your opinion on what should the council do?

Oliver - I think… As a responsible citizen of the dome, I think humanity, as a collective species, should first focus on the cause of the problem and then resolve it.

Host - and we should leave those living outside.

Oliver stares with a smile 

Host - If they exist.

Oliver - No we shouldn’t be doing that. I mean look at the situation humanity is in right now. See, the dome cities are already at max of its capabilities. If people exist outside the dome, which is hypothetical, obviously, we don’t have the capacity to allocate them here in the dome, and if we do, the dome supply for food, water, electricity, space for living will completely shatter. Life is standing on its feet to grow again because there are strings from the domes supporting us to do so, getting more people inside would mean cutting those strings.

Host - But how can you be so sure that a large number are there outside?

Oliver - the fewer the people the less likely for them to survive. If the signals are genuine, that means they survived.

Oliver - If we allow one person to come inside, we have to let the others as well. We don’t have the luxury to cater to every human living outside. We should always remember it’s a dome of safety, and safety and freedom can’t ride on the same boat.

Host looks at oliver.

Oliver - But we are not sure, It's all hypothetical. right?

Host - Yeah. Damn your words, really opened my mind.

Assistant (From behind in a low voice) - Sir, language.

Oliver - Oh, No it's alright.

Host - yeah, sorry sir, If….

Oliver - It’s alright

Host - OK. Ah, let’s see what the audience poll says,............. Wow, 77% of people came in favor of not allowing anyone to come inside the dome. and, It looks like your words really changed the minds of 52% of the dome population. I am getting goosebumps.

Oliver smiles

Host - Now the next question is about the newly formed faction of the military the Field Research and Armed Corp.

Oliver - Yeah. We call it the F.R.A.C.

Host - how is there progress, did they find anything on the barriers?

Oliver - I am not a technical guy, but we have made some progress is all I can say right now and we will publish the info when the company returns.

Karl came to the center of the floor and looked at the screen.

Councilor (Female) - Your apprentice has a charm in his eyes.

Councilor (Male) - You trained him well.

Karl - the council and her majesty provided me with a platform to sculpt diamonds. They shouldn’t expect any less

Councilor - How are things progressing?

The windows of the room began to seal shut, casting the room into darkness as a holographic report appeared for presentation. Karl stepped onto a specific floor panel, elevating himself to the council's level.

Karl - Well, the patrol corp has almost quelled the riots, reducing them to less than 60% of their previous scale. The half of defense corp is safeguarding the dome walls, successfully eliminating outsiders attempting to breach, although people beyond the dome still persist. The 1st research faction is due to arrive in the city soon, bringing information on the barrier and data regarding the headhunter's physiology. Meanwhile, the Defense Development Agency (DDA) has completed 200 units of the EXOZ, ready for deployment as the F.R.A.C.'s 2nd company along with Defense corp deployed in excavation.

Councilor - And what is the status of the rest Defense corp.?

Karl - On standby. As per the council’s directive.

Councilor 1 - If only our hands are not tied, we could save those outside.

Councilor 2 - there is no need to worry. In the past 3 years, the people’s living outside the dome have shown their survival capabilities. They have created a lifestyle living outside, A lifestyle of the survival of the fittest, which is different from those living inside. I am afraid they don’t have the requirement to be granted entry in the dome city, it would be dangerous for the insiders, so it's better to let them be outside.

Councilor 1 - Do you fear that headhunter whose rumors of roaming outside are spreading like fire?

Karl - Apologies for interrupting councilor, but it is a matter of concern now. The rumors have become true.

Karl opens a video file showing wave patterns

Karl - As you can see, our soldiers have detected a strong wave burst to which the other headhunters react to. I believe something is causing it. Maybe that headhunter of concern.

Councilor 1 - what is this location?

Karl (hesitantly) - the shores of Arga.

Councilor 1 - what were our soldiers doing there?

Karl - They are just there to see if…..

Councilor - what soldiers?

Karl didn’t answer 

Councilor 4 - the Defense corp.

Karl remains shut

Councilor 1 (Yells) - We ordered the rest of the Defense corp. on standby because of the Murder of multiple soldiers by the hands of the outsiders, because we don’t want our soldiers to die for nothing, And you think that this mysterious headhunter is responsible…. IT DOES NOT EXIST….. This is your first and last warning, do not take any action without the permission of the council.

Karl - Yes councilor

Other councilor - about the matter of this headhunter, If he actually exists and is able to affect the other headhunters, Is there a possibility of him being intelligent and what if he is the reason for the death of the soldiers of the Defense corp.

Councilor - What are you saying?

Other Councilor - Is there a possibility or not.

Karl - There certainly is.

Other Councilor - Should we eliminate it?.... Karl, is there any suggestion you want to give?

Karl - I don’t know how much it will cost us to eliminate such an entity, In Fact, if we kill him we may lose vital info on the psyche of the headhunters.

The council argues on what to do, karl stands firm and listen to the argument

Councilor - the council will decide on the subject matter exactly a week after, the decision will be based on the 12 votes of the council. With this the meeting is adjourned.
