Oh, right. Harriet started for a moment, briefly shocked with the reminder that her brother was trying to help, before a reciprocating grin slipped onto her face. Trailing along as he headed down the driveway, Harriet was about to break into a round of furious pedaling when a small bit of motion caught her eye, from somewhere across the street. Immediately her mind thought she might’ve seen an animal, a rabbit or a squirrel, but it felt too big for that.
Briefly Harriet couldn’t help stalling, though before she could come to a halt, she remembered that their uncles would likely only be at the Horseman Bridge for a short amount of time. If they wanted to catch up, they’d need to go now.
So she kept going, following her brother down the street and pedaling furiously to keep up.
