For those wondering:
钱 Qián (family name) 明美 Míngměi (first name).
TRIVIA: despite being chinese, Mei's first name 明美 reads Akemi in Japanese. Teachers and classmates call her that since she never bothered correcting them after they read her name out loud on the first day of school.
PS: if you copypaste the chinese idiograms onto google translate, you can hear the pronunciation! ;D
