"I'm back with Laure"

Caleb got distracted to this piece of new and messed up his equation. He crossed out the wrong answer then turned to Kai "What happened ?"

"I met her by accident in the metro so she couldn't just run away by jumping off" He chuckled "She said she regretted and didn't even know why she did that anymore"

"And so you two got back just like that" Caleb half questioned half affirmed.

The sceptic tone made Kai raise his "So what ?"

Caleb shrugged "You do you bro, mistakes are a form of teaching I guess"

Kai climbed the stairs heavily, each step deepening his frown. 

He stopped in the middle "No need to tell it to Soham yet, he'll fuck things up" The sounds of the remaining steps were quieter.

Jumping on his bed, Kai slightly relaxed. At this point, he should have thrown everything away for this ceiling. 

Could you marry a ceiling ? He shook his head and called Laure to be greeted by the voicemail which led to a flourishing anxiety in his stomach.

Few minutes after, his phone rang, thus he hastily put out his cigarette in the ashtray near his window to pick it up.

Kai's shoulders dropped "Sup"

"Nah don't feel like it"

"ight"

Soham did his usual chest day. Usual. It was like usual. It felt unusual. The weights seemed heavier, the music was emptier, Soham felt restlessly lonelier.

When he checked the time before starting to let it all out on the hanging heavy bag it was 11am, when he was fully rid of any remaining of energy it was 1pm.

He was too tired to go to his classes, too uneasy to sleep ; one thing he could do well was eat an enormous plate of bland pasta.

Afterwards, he was able to black out in Morpheus's embrace.

He managed to stick to a fourteen hours sleep without a single break. His alarm preventing him to undergo Cinderella's curse.

The sore body was a reminder that yesterday had happened. Something was off.
