“I don’t think this is a mental ward that brother sent us to…” Emily/Penelope whispered, sitting on the edge of her bed while looking at the other two girls, who both nodded.
“Yes, I don’t think that narcissist has the ability to put us in someone else’s body…” said the young lady with olive-toned skin and straight black hair.
“I don’t think just the body changes are the issues…” responded the young lady in a hushed tone, who had ochre skin, and curly-auburn hair. The other two girls looked at her as she nodded her head to the view outside the window. All looked to the view outside the hospital as cars sped down a busy city street, and a helicopter flew away from the hospital.
“I think it’ll be a problem for us to learn this world. Apparently, we have all already graduated from a free government-mandated school system - so learning this place may prove difficult…” continued the girl with auburn hair.
“Did you at least learn your new names?” Emily/Penelope questioned with a slight smirk. The other two nodded.
“The parents of this body refused to accept it when I kept saying my name was Linnette. So I guess I go by Hyewon now,” nodded the olive-toned girl, who was once known as Linnette. “What about you, sister Aerilyn?”
“Zuri,” the auburn-haired girl sighed, tilting her curly head. “I just really don’t know how this is going to work, since we will all be returning to different homes with strangers as our new family the moment we get discharged.”
“We’d be lucky if they don’t toss us into a mental ward for trying to convince them we are someone else…” sighed Emily/Penelope. “Livi would have made sure we at least weren’t separated and had a decent amount of luxury. From the looks of this shared medical room - we won’t be seeing much of that.”
“Are you saying we don’t have personal attendants when we return to our new residents?” commented Hyewon/Linnette with a shocked face. Zuri/Aerilyn nodded, eyes closed.
“I’m afraid so, dear sisters.”
“I think I can manage just fine,” Emily/Penelope commented, rolling her eyes as Hyewon/Linnette wailed in the background. “As long as they don’t suggest that I marry brother Livi again. My stomach can’t handle being emptied again so soon.”
“Pardon you?” Zuri/Aerilyn questioned, face paling. Hyewon/Linnette paused her wailing to dramatically gag in the background. Emily/Penelope waved them off.
“We can always run away?” she countered.
“And live a life with the poors?!” howled Hyewon/Linnette. Emily/Penelope rolled her eyes and laid back down on her hospital bed. Zuri/Aerilyn sighed in exasperation as she stood up for the restroom. Hyewon/Linnette panicked when she received no response. “We’re not really going to do that, right? Sisters, right?!”
