Happy December, everyone! How’s everyone holding up?
I’m publishing this FAQ episode to address current and future questions regarding the story so far and to announce that I’ll be taking a break for a week or two this month (I've been on hiatus for 3 weeks now). Don't worry—there's still a scheduled update for next week! Lately, I've been swamped with project tasks as we approach the end of the month. I also need time to work through some writer's block, especially when it comes to romance.
It feels like Tuk has played a reverse card on me for all the trouble I’ve put her through! 😅
So here we go!
Where's the shoes? >>
Look at this sequence as a whole: ⲅ34☥ ᗶ3. Start by removing the symbols that are difficult to read, then imagine each number as a letter. For example, if we replace numbers with letters, we can form several possible words: "read me," "real me," or "reak me."
This is where context helps. With a complete sentence, like ⲅ34☥ ᗶ3 𝖫1|<3 4 8❍❍|<, we can narrow down the meanings of each symbol based on the overall usage. In this case, ⲅ = R, 3 = E, 4 = A, ☥ = D, and ᗶ = M. Now you can read the whole word as Read Me. With these letter associations, we can decode the sentence and repeat the process as needed.👏
If we are now familiar with the letters and code, we can determine how to read them based on the first letter we can read; it is like you were finding words in a puzzle. If the words are vertical, then you will read the whole scroll as vertically read; this is applied if it's horizontally read. (Unfortunately, I don't have time to do the horizontal anymore except for the first two scrolls I introduced.)
If you are still confused, pals, let's just skip the code and let the historian solve it 😎😆
(I'm attaching a screenshot of Bree's comments—a reader who supported me in the past. Although she has now left Tapas, I want to express my heartfelt thanks for her encouragement. Your support has meant so much, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.)💌
What timeline and economy are we in? >>
I honestly didn't have any idea about the settings when I created this, so after researching a lot, I learned that the story I had in mind is around the techno-medieval era, where it's a mix of the modern and medieval worlds. Of course, I am speaking on behalf of our MC, who clearly doesn't have any idea as well since she is rarely and is not allowed to go out of the palace. Whoo! I barely escape there 😪🙈
Per Arc's focus it will tackle the following:
Arc 1: In the World of Isekai- Focus on laying the foundation story for our MC, and how she will navigate the world.✅
Arc 2: No Secret Remains Hidden- A touch of romance. Introduce the character's rank, goals, a few kingdoms, and the world's magic. ✅
Arc 3: Where It All Began to End- Special Arc and understanding of the character's personality, where it all began and ended. ⚒️
Arc 4: How Villains are Made—Each has its own story (All characters' story), history, politics, and an understanding of the empire and the Prince. [[Tentative]]
Arc 5: Him and I- Romance Fantasy. Revelation of connections and Mystery. [[Tentative]]
💡 How can I tell which characters know Tuk's real gender>>
Pay close attention to the pronouns used in dialogue! Characters who know Tuk’s true gender will refer to Tuk as “she.” Characters who don’t know will refer to Tuk as “he.”
For example:
-
Leon always calls Tuk “he” – meaning he doesn’t know Tuk's real gender.
-
The Prince refers to Tuk as “she” – which means he knows the truth.
It’s a subtle cue woven into the dialogue, so keep an eye out!😉
💡Empires and Kingdom Confusion>>
There were originally Three Empires in this world before our MC transported which consisted of multiple kingdoms in fact, the Marceau was once a kingdom before it became an empire after the consistent war and expansion. This was once mentioned in chapter 3 if you can still remember. The 3 Empire are Elthor, Homonhon, and Marceau. Our MC fell in the middle of the war between the Aldo Kingdom, a military kingdom and the last defense of the Homonhon Empire, and at this time the empire of Elthor was already conquered. The reason for this is mainly because of Leon and the Princess Seraphina of Ellis Kingdom under the rule of the Empire of Elthor.
New and Current World Map>>
I've already explained the details in one of the earlier chapters, including how Tuk summarized their travels during the war in Homonhon. As usual, the quality is suppressed. But here it is the complete map. Tadah! 📌🗺️
We'll explore these places further as the story unfolds, it will be fun! Some of the characters living in these regions have already been introduced. (Guess who?)
To my fellow Filo readers who recognize some of the locations—yes, you're correct. I’m officially weaving our own myths into this world, so you might already have a hint of what to expect in a few of these places. For those unfamiliar with these land names, don’t worry—you’ll discover them soon. I've mapped everything out, but I’m still working on solidifying the connections, so I'm actively researching and refining the plot.
Trivia: Do you know who I was thinking while imagining Michaelli? It was my poor dragon, Sylus from Love and Deepspace. I already have the idea for Elli 4-years ago but after watching Sylus damn, that's my man. His story breaks my heart to pieces (But lowkey got bored in the game.) It took me time to recover so no, this is not the same as that story.
Michaelli is not a dragon, more like he's the hunter lol
