(Back to the current time)

Back to the greenhouse where Ki and Myla are and where she was remembering her place. In this nation that she was born to. Ki brings the broomstick up, ready to bring it down with full force onto Myla. But as he was bringing it down.

“Sir, your daughters are missing,” said Danni. Danni checked the main house and noticed the girls weren’t in their rooms.

“Myla get up and go figure this out then come back to me with the results, RESULTS ONLY,” said Ki angrily. “Yes sir,” said Myla.

Ki leaves the greenhouse and heads to his office. Myla has some trouble getting up, even though she wasn’t hit, the trauma of about to be hit had left its mark on both her mental and her physical. She takes a minute to collect her broken self-worth. Danni waits for Myla to get up. She puts the pieces back together like she always does. Each time the pieces get smaller and smaller taking longer to put back together. She never had the right to her freedom. She can’t do anything but what she is ordered to do, just like when she was first bought. Her life is not hers and it seems like it will never be.

Danni walk with me and tell me what you saw. They head to the girl's room to check on them. Ki left the greenhouse exhausted and with anger. He was in a terrible mood, no one had seen this side of him yet. He went to the training grounds in the compound and lost it.

Ki slid the door open

“Sir, men this is our-” said the main trainer. “These are the top recruits? Have them line up for me” Said Ki.

“MEN IN FORMATION B!” Yelled the trainer. 

Heavy boots scattering around in sync

Sweat dripping onto the concrete floor. Looking like it just had been mopped. Men heavily breathing in and out, gasping for more airflow to their muscles.

Sounds of boots clicking into place

“SIR” yelled the men.

“Send a few men to help Myla. So we can test out the top 10 recruits, and see if they are useful to the family or not,” ordered Ki. “A TEAM get into uniform… Sir where is the lady?” said the trainer. 

“She should be at the main house” softly said Ki.

(Back with Myla and Danni…)

“Danni have you checked on the boys?” asked Myla. “Yes ma'am, they are in their rooms sleeping… well one is asleep and the youngest is awake” answered Danni.

Myla and Danni head to the main house to check everything out. First to check on the boys to see if they know anything. “Danni go to the girl's rooms and… look for clues or anything that might tell us where the girl headed and-” said Myla. “I will make sure everything and anything there will be in our hands first before anyone else's,” said Danni. “Thank you Danni for understanding,” softly said Myla.

Myla headed to the headmaid and the house staff to let them know to be on alert and for them to relay it to the other divisions. Myla wants the staff to know if they have seen or heard anything to let her know first. She also ordered the headmaid to make a head count for each division's staff. Myla has a feeling someone might have helped or gone with them. After finishing and ensuring that everyone left the main house Myla went to the boy's room.

“Kai… Kai… wake up” Myla said as she was shaking him awake. “Wh- what? Is the matter mother?” tiredly asked Kai. “Have you seen your sisters?” asked Myla. Kai said no and Myla left and headed to Tae’s room. As she gets to the door of Tae’s she notices that his lights are on and as she reaches for his door and the lights go off.

“Tae have you seen your sisters” asked Myla. Tae’s pretending to be asleep and fakely says “No Mom.”

Myla stayed and added a comment “I just hope that wherever they are they are safe and free” said Myla. “I think they will be fine mom, you shouldn’t worry,” said Tae. Myla smiled and tucked Tae’s in.

Myla headed to the girl's room when…

Steps…

Boots pressing down on wooden steps started to approach Myla.

“Ma’am!” yelled out the new recruits. Myla gave a gesture telling them hello.

Myla and the recruits head to the girl's room. Myla in a loud voice tells them to give it their best and to take care of their health.

“Dan, have you found anything?” asked Myla as they headed in. “Unfortunately not ma’am. But maybe the men might have better luck,” responded Danni.

“Leave it to us, ma’am,” said the men. As they began to search the rooms. Myla felt dizzy and was about to faint or so the men think.

“Why don’t we head to the kitchen and get you some tea to calm down your nerves ma’am,” said Danni.

“Yes, I am sorry for the trouble. Men, please let us know if you find anything,” said Myla. Danni and Myla head downstairs and the men decide to split up to search both rooms and the area around them. So they can closely look for clues.

“Don’t you think it suspicious that the ma’am is leaving the search up to us?” said one of the men. “We shouldn’t judge on how the ma’am is dealing with her children missing let's get back to work,” said another recruit.

Meanwhile…

Myla and Danni head to the main house kitchen and ask some of the people who are left to leave so she can have a moment.

“Did you find anything out?” asked Myla. “I found this letter under Jini’s bed,” responded Danni.

“Bring in an ashtray,” said Myla. “Of course ma’am,” replied Danni. 

A few minutes pass as Myla read and re-read the letter. She inspected the handwriting and the postage stamp. Then with a calming and relieved look, she heads over to the stove and slowly turns it on. As if taking her time would do something for her daughters. Danni followed her to the stove and with two hands held the ashtray for Myla so she wouldn’t get any ash on her. 

Both watched the flames engulf the letter. It all burned within seconds but for Myla, it felt like the flames took their time for her. When the flame went out she shed a tear and roughly wiped it off to pull herself together. Danni waited for the madam, making sure nothing was recoverable, the whole letter had turned into ashes.
