Even if little prince needs a LOT of training about how to deal with that type of people and ehm boundaries and be aware of power dynamics cuz my dude is very shelter and privileged, I can't really say he's in the wrong. I once read that the big difference between a loved ruler with a hated ruler is that the people of the kingdom government by terror always would want to take down the violent oppressor from power, no loyalty, no friends. You can't win alliances with brute force you need communication and diplomacy, and for you people to love you you need to actually listen and attend their need even if it sounds dumb and basic, but we all know that our leaders aren't the most... self aware of anything except their own delusions.
At least the parents of the other guy were very I mean VERY relief and thankful that the prince didn't mutilate their son for opening his big trouble maker mouth, I mean again it was a dangerous game that insults move mister, and again the prince is kinda right, like can you imagine the reaction of his future wife? Sure the brother was a disrespectful jerk but damn if that was my brother I would definitely cancel the marriage or never trust my fiance never again.
