An old retired author laments in their room. They haven't written stories in 20 years. They feel unfulfilled as the years go by, reflecting on how happy they were when they retired and took their stories for granted.
The writer grabs their pen and notebook and starts writing again,
"The Retired Author" they start off the title and are stumped on what to write next. What will the story be about? How will it sell? Who is the target audience- scratch those, "Why am I writing again?" the author gets upset and goes to rip the page. Just as they prepare to separate their hands they sit down. "Why am I overthinking..." they scramble their work together and continue writing. They wrote with what came to mind, not worried about the questions they overthought.
