Alvie's request for pancakes landed like a bolt from the blue. It really hit me out of nowhere.
Alvie didn't like pancakes. In fact she hated them.
"What would you like to have in breakfast miss Wiana?"
'Miss Wiana?' .........
'Are you okay?', 'Miss Wiana?'
Margaret's question yanked me out of my train of thought completely, like a sudden splash of cold water, pulling me back into the present world.
"Yes?", I asked .
'What would you like to have in breakfast miss?', she asked again.
"Pancakes would do", I replied.
'Alright miss'. Margaret said it with a smile, and then left the room.
Anyway.
I'm so happy that Veevee finally woke up! It feels so good to see her this way again.
What happened two weeks ago, was something so terrible. I was so scared when I got a call from Veevee's cell phone, someone called to inform that Veevee met an accident and they were taking her to a nearby hospital.
When I reached the hospital, I saw Veevee lying lifeless on a hospital bed, surrounded by machines and some other medical equipment. She was heavily wounded.
The doctor told me that she has received a number of injuries, but none of them is serious and luckily there isn't a fracture, unlike the last time.
The doctor also said, that the blow she received on the head might lead her to coma, that might be for months, or a year, but she woke up after two weeks, THANKFULLY !
I was so worried for her.
