Percy cleared his throat at the microphone and began his speech, “Hello classes of Newfound High School. I’m glad that you are here to listen to us and help us to find the three missing Elementians.” He was interrupted by the entire cafeteria clapping. I even saw one girl sobbing like she was at a boy band concert or something, now that is something I know is not normal. “Well, we are going to start with testing each one of you that controls the elements of fire, water, and nature. So if you do have those elements, please stand up and walk over to your designated sections.” Percy pointed towards where the containers had been wheeled out and marked with symbols for the three elements. 

“We ask that if you don’t have these elements, don’t make it harder on us because you think it’ll be cool.” Camille stood up, somehow her voice echoed throughout the cafeteria without a microphone. I saw a couple of people frown and sit back down, jeez these people do anything for attention. 

Once we all walked over to our designated sections there were about seven people in the water section, four in the nature section, and only two, including me, in the fire section. The other kid with the fire element was someone I didn’t really like, he was the person that dated Lola back in middle school who ended up mentally abusing and scarring her from dating anyone. I’d punched him back in middle school and I could still see the small burn scar on the corner of his mouth. 

“You might as well not even try Fang.” He said shoving me aside so he could be the first to test himself. 

“Sure Harley, but remember I’m the stronger of the two of us,” I smiled as he turned around glaring at me, “Don’t forget who gave you that cute scar.” I watched as he drew the heat from around us and made a fist, it was just enough to make his hand burning hot, not enough for fire. That’s when Percy walked in between me and him. 

“There a problem?” He asked, glaring down at Harley. 

“N-no sir.” Harley said letting the heat go as well as loosening his fist. Pft this kid was scared of Percy, that’s hilarious. 

“And Fang,” he turned towards me, “stop picking fights.”

I laughed, “Ok Sunshine.” He glared at me and I thought I might have seen him blush slightly but it was probably just the lighting. Percy sighed and put his normal smile back on and turned back to Harley. 

“Go ahead and stick your hand into the box, if you can create a flame inside of the box then you are an Elementian, if not, well you know.” He smiled, pointing to the small opening in the box.

“Alright,” Harley walked over to the box, I followed him and watched with Percy through the small window on the box. Harley stuck his hand into the box and I watched as he tried gathering nearby heat and nothing happened, he started to strain himself trying to get a flame to light in the water but nothing happened. 

“My turn,” I smiled as Harley frowned angrily, pulling his hand out of the box and moving to the side to watch. I stuck my hand in the box, “Damn! This water's cold!” I yelped, surprised by the sudden coldness. That didn’t really matter to me as I thought of warmth and my hand lit up in flames, most of the water evaporated making clouds in the box as my hand was still on fire. “Holy shit.” I looked over at Percy surprised, he was just smiling his big dumb smile.

“I knew it.” Percy smiled and told me I could take my hand out now. I looked over to Lola who had just stuck her hand into the box and watched as she made a whole field of flowers appear in the steel box and kept them alive. She looked over at me shocked and I just smiled at her.

Alkali still hadn’t gone but so far no one over there was successful. I walked over to join Lola and when I got over to her she grabbed me into the tightest hug, I thought she was about to break my ribs. “We are them!” She smiled, I could see her starting to cry out of happiness.

“Yeah,” I patted her head as I smiled, “Let’s go watch Kali do her’s.” We walked over just as Alkali was starting her try. She instantly filled the dry box with water and smiled at us. 

“Who would’ve thought it’d be us three.” Alkali said joining us in our hug party. Now I was going to break a rib. Percy and Camille came up behind us and smiled.

“Well, let’s get you three home to pack.” Percy smiled.
