“Han, you're awake.” Lobin smiles widely as he cries seeing his friend's flame form burns brighter.

“... Koryn?”

“Yes. It's me. Oh, thank you, father.” He hugs the fiery form, “how are you doing?”

“... I feel heavy. Where is Xian? Jayen? Yokun?” Han asks him.

“Xian… sacrificed her spiritual energy to create barriers for the survivors of Iryankka’s fall.”

“Fall…? What happened to Iryankka?”

“Han… you erased every creature's race because Xian was killed.”

“Xian? No.. No. She's alive. Koryn, tell me she is alive!”

“She died absorbing Jun's heart so you wouldn't be sealed in the underworld with him.”

“NO! NO, WHAT THE FUCK?! ARE YOU JOKING WITH ME, KORYN?! BRING MY FRIENDS HERE! I NEED XIAN!”

“Jayen is wandering through worlds. Yokun was dragged by the primordial beings of the underworld and got eaten.”

The flame in Han's form slowly turned into a hue of blue. It must be serene considering it aligns with honor and trust. But no. He wants to die. To grieve his friend's deaths.

“It's all… my fault.”

“Han… that's impossible. I recalled sitting beside Jayen. He was going to kill you but I barely stopped him.” Arete couldn't remember how to breathe in. Even out, “I thought I divided my soul into two?”

“The memories you have there are a form built with remnants of your magic.”

“Every portal from the underworld kept showing up!” Yokun uses the eye shaped recording to capture every demon and return the people from their original, healthy state.

“THAT DAMN HAN!” Jayen yelled as he swung his staff to create violent tornadoes that would suck the demons’ heart and eat it, “DO WE HAVE TO SAVE EVERY PEOPLE NOW?! I NEED TO TRAVEL TO ANOTHER COUNTRY THEN!”

“I'll handle it.” Lobin says, trying to sound calm as he transforms back to his God form.

“WHY DID HAN THOUGHT STEALING JUN SARIO'S HEART WOULD STOP THE PRINCE IN BEING ONE WITH XIAN?!”

The God sighs, “Jun can see who needs saving. Even if he belongs to the underworld now, he was helping Xian.”

“EVEN SO!”

Koryn, “Just try and save people who are the nearest. We'll go to where the two were.”

Yokun, “WAIT, KORYN! JUN IS AS STRONG AS THE GODS BY NOW! WE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HANDLE EVERYTHING!”

“Kalas and Lura will come down, Yokun. Besides, you four are war criminals. You can let go of the restrictions you've been reciting as a mantra.”

“THIS ISN'T A WAR FOR THE THRONE, KORYN! THIS IS LITERALLY US AGAINST THE UNDERWORLD!”

Meanwhile on the throne, Han was squeezing Jun's heart that will make the blood drip and be drinking like it's wine during celebrations.

“I need to… all creatures should come together again under my rule.”

“Han!” Xian kicks down the door, panting heavily as she uses her guqin to keep her standing position firm and steady.

“....” His eyes slowly moved to the side and met her exhausted but worried gaze.

“Han… Han Sario. I begged you.”

“Xian, you revived Jun in hopes to manipulate the old paths between the kings. You collected souls for him to devour. I will save you from falling.”

“NO! I DIDN'T ASK YOU TO DO THIS FOR ME! YOU HAVE DONE ENOUGH!” She pulls the strings of her instrument out. She jumps from the instrument and throws the strings in a circular manner to surround her before singing.

Every note she hits, the blood that is going down on Han's throat joins the heart back.

“XIAN! STOP IT!”

She didn't listen. When Xian saw how Han changed, lessening his crimes with the group in order to save the people in hem of the fabric. She… doesn't want to be like them again. Even if she will lose her life, she will do it.

For him.

She doesn't know why.

But she can't lose Han. Not Han.

Xian changes her song. It was more of a cry of war against the primordial Gods. She started to absorb the prince's heart, disappearing from Han's hand, seeing every memory he had when he was alive until her body was getting shaped with Jun's will to create a new world for Iryankka. Her eyes lose their color and light. Her veins start showing up and bulging but no blood running through it.

“XIAN! DON'T DO IT!” Han panicked and ran towards her.

“Han… I—”

Han couldn't read her lips. He couldn't understand when he's in the influence of distress.

‘No. No. If I say I love her, she will stop. Right?’

“Xian, I—”

The castle exploded from the opposing energy between Jun and Xian. This is sent as a signal to primordial Gods and starts to make sinkholes to eat humans.

Yokun shielded them but was caught in between and had his body torn apart for the demons’ feast.

Jayen flies towards the estate to see Bristyl's head got hanged on their animal sigil. The lords he sealed under Guxav’s guidance was stitching Bristyl's body with different animals, testing it on his twin brother.

He lost his balance at the horror he saw before his eyes. Bristyl wasn't even involved with his crimes.

“YOU ARE COWARDS! COME AT ME!”

Han survived the explosion but his body was melting. Seeing Xian's soul separated into many pieces made him lose his mind. He can see a blueish fire in one part of her soul. One is dark as the abyss.

“Xian… Xian…” He chokes out, his eyes flashing desperately between Xian's souls and the ruins. He’s gasping for air that keeps going out of his system and is on the brink of fainting, “Don't leave… Don't leave me… I love you… XIAN!”

Koryn reaches the castle only to see Han slowly transforming to one of the primordial God's images. Letting his skin peel off and he took out his eyes, offering it up to the skies.

“If… If you will take Xian from me… IRYANKKA SHOULD BE DESTROYED! LET EVERY LIVING BEING BURN INTO ASHES!”

He can't process anything that's happening, “HAN! STOP IT!”

“All of us…” Arete couldn't stop sobbing at what she heard.

“Arete…” Han taps his side to locate her shoulder. When he did, he immediately wrapped his arms around her, “I'm here…”

Han wakes up to see them inside a magic barrier. He looks everywhere to see the surviving Yakkans were injured. Getting healed by Kalas and Lura.

On his side was Yokun's head. Jayen was sobbing uncontrollably. Xian is dead. The one kneeling before them was her fading memory of what she looks like that could only hold for only a minute.

‘I thought… I could protect everyone.’

Jayen tries to beat him up but her static image pleads with him not to.

He saw the woman he loved regressed back to her infant body as she separated her soul that held Jun's heart and the other one that retained her childhood dreams.

He lost her.

Because of his greed towards power.

She is beyond saving. Corrupted because none of them wants to look back for redemption.

That's why Jayen is reluctant in letting her collect her soul. He wanted to because it is his best friend but the risk was higher and could cause another destruction. Playing safe wasn't an option if the primordial Gods were watching them.

Fate is unfair. Let’s face that cruel fact. There will be no such thing as equality, but people are still fighting for it. Destruction and suffering are there to remind us that we’re not progressing. Arete thinks that it left a deep wound into people’s hearts. She wants to save people, but where to start if even she can’t save herself from darkness.
