As I returned to Khan, I caught him finishing up beating a poor man, blatantly stealing his wallet. I shook my head in frustration. *Why is he like this?* Then it hit me: *Duh, Lee, you created him.*
I sighed and walked over, tapping him on the shoulder. He jumped in fear, cursing under his breath. “Damn you, Jun! You scared the shit out of me. How do you do that?”
“Do what?” I asked, genuinely confused.
“You’re like a ghost. I don’t even know you’re there until you touch me. Stop doing that,” he muttered in disgust. Then he noticed the swords I was holding. “Wait—what’s that?”
“Here, a sword,” I said, handing it to him. His eyes widened in shock.
“You actually got it?” Khan asked, stunned.
“Yeah, why?” I replied casually.
“How the hell did you manage that?” He grabbed my arm, his grip tightening with surprise.
“I stole it... had to kill someone because of it,” I admitted, watching as his expression shifted from shock to fear.
“You... y-you killed someone?” Khan stammered, backing away slowly, terror creeping into his voice.
“Calm down,” I said, trying to reassure him. “It was in self-defense. Look at my shirt—it's torn to shreds. If you don’t believe me, just say ‘Reveal.’”
Suspicious, Khan frowned. “Why? What will happen if I say it?” Despite his doubt, he reluctantly complied. “Reveal.”
His eyes widened as a blue window appeared before him. “Now, read what it says,” I urged.
“What’s this supposed to prove?” Khan asked, still wary. “How does this show you’re telling the truth?”
I shrugged. “If you don’t believe me after this, you can leave. Or kill me right now.”
With a defeated sigh, Khan glanced at the window and read his skills aloud: “Soul Sight, Risk Accrual, Risk Transfer, Fortune’s Gamble.”
Then he reached the blessings and curses: “King of Gambling, Blessing of Favor... Curse of Mistrustfulness, Curse of Repulsiveness.”
Before he could explode in anger over the curses, I quickly said, “Look at what *Soul Sight* says.”
Khan didn’t hesitate this time. He read:
*[Soul Sight]* – This skill allows you to see the purity of others' souls.
He fell silent, his eyes wide as he took in the meaning of the ability.
Growing impatient, I snapped, “What are you waiting for?”
He shot me a glare. “I don’t know how to use it, dumbass.”
Dumbfounded, I let out a frustrated sigh. “First, get rid of the screen,” I instructed. Once he did, I explained, “Look at me, and concentrate. Focus like you're trying to see past me—into something deeper than just my body.”
It took a while, but then his expression changed as he finally saw it—or what should’ve been a mostly white soul. Instead, Khan looked shocked.
Worried, I asked, “Are you okay?” My heart pounded, fearing that he had seen something dangerous. If he had, I might have to kill him and ruin everything I'd planned.
“I saw your soul,” Khan finally said, his voice hesitant. “It was white... but also damaged.”
Confused, I asked, “What do you mean, damaged?” I lowered my guard a little, intrigued.
“It was cracked, like a broken mirror,” he explained, his voice uneasy.
I stood there, shaken. “I don’t know what that means,” I admitted after a moment. “Maybe we’ll figure it out later. But for now, do you trust me?”
Khan stared at me for a long time before sighing. “Yeah... I trust you.”
“Okay, good. Now we need to find a place to stay,” I said.
Khan started to say something, but I cut him off. "No, your parents' house isn’t safe. You need to bring your family with us."
In a firm tone, Khan responded, "Well, my parents' house is this way."
With the sword in hand, we ran toward his home. We hadn’t gotten far from where we were when I froze, stretching out my arm to stop him.
“Damn it,” I muttered under my breath, my eyes narrowing.
Khan followed my gaze, confusion written on his face.
I cursed softly. "It’s worse than Frey... it’s a damn Seeker."
