As Vidar continues to search for the missing mother, he hears a voice coming from the smoke. Vidar, a little startled, says, "Who's there?"
Inside Vidar's mind, Sprite says, "I sense that this voice is non-hostile" Vidar calls out again, "Hello?" 
The voice makes itself known again, "My soul hasn't moved on. I cannot fully rest in peace."
"Who are you?" 
"I am the mother you are looking for." 
Vidar and Sprite looked confused. 
"How do you know who I'm looking for?" 
"Oh, my dear child, I can hear my daughter, but I can't talk to her or even touch her for that matter," her voice started to break as she began to cry. Vidar asked, "What happened to you?" 
"A very evil man kidnapped me. He tortured me for I have no idea how long; my body is nowhere to be found. I never got to say my goodbyes to my daughter. She's all alone, and I'm afraid she is not built for this world so long as that man is still out there." 
"Do you know who this man is?" 
The mother tries to speak but fades away with a gust of wind blowing past Vidar. Now, more confused than before, Vidar and Sprite start to question what is happening. Just then, a very faint laugh can be heard, "Hahaha, how's my little Griffonborn doing?" asked Xenon.
"You?!! How dare you tear that family apart?"
"I'm just following the path ordained by the one true god. Myself," he laughed. 
Sprite says, "Try to stay calm and relax, Vidar. You don't want a repeat of what happened last time."
Vidar nods, and his eyes begin to glow. 
Xenon looked interested, "My oh my, fascinating. Are you going to give me a challenge this time?"
Vidar, now angered, says, "Come and find out." 
Vidar shoots vines from his right hand towards Xenon and, with the other, uses the air around his feet to thrust toward Xenon and blinding speeds. Xenon, shocked by this, creates a water clone of himself and swiftly dodges the vines from Vidar while the clone gets hit. Sprite senses that an attack is coming but doesn't know from where.
"Be careful, Vidar," Sprite says warningly.
Vidar nods. Xenon creates a water whip to grab Vidar from behind, trying to slam him to the ground. Vidar, sensing danger, now looks behind him and changes direction with his feet using a small vortex of air echo energy allowing him to fly. Vidar adds an extra layer of protection around his body using earth echo energy and then starts forming a compressed flaming ball in his right palm. At the same time, developing a void chain blade. 
Xenon chuckled, "Oh, this is getting fun now," then created more water clones surrounding Vidar. They all formed water whips that latch onto Vidar's waist and limbs. 
"You have gotten stronger, my young Griffonborn, but don't get too carried away." 
Vidar, now fuming with cosmic echo energy, breaks out of the water whips, and starts hurling toward Xenon at blinding speeds. Xenon chuckles. Vidar hears a familiar voice which makes him stop in his tracks.
"Vidar? Where are you?! Vidar please help me, I need you."
Vidar looks around frantically, his concentration lowered and he no longer cares about his defenses. 
He cried out to her, "Reya….? Reya is that you? I'm here, listen to the sound of my voice." 
Xenon in the background is now amused and whispers to himself, "It seems he can't think straight when it comes to her. Fascinating, hehehe."
Xenon then orders his clones to grab each one of Vidar's arms and legs with water echo chains. 
"Let me go!" His voice broke when he cried, "I need to go to her, let me go!" 
Sprite starts to sympathize with Vidar and starts to cry with him. Xenon then creates sharp spears of water that he shoots at Vidar's shoulders and knees. 
Vidar screaming in agony and pain yelled, "Why are you doing this?! What did me and Reya ever do to you?" 
Xenon just laughs and says calmly, "Nothing really, I'm just here for the thrill of watching other people suffer." 
He continues to laugh, bringing down heavy water droplets on Vidar, and disappears with his clones alongside him. 
Vidar now crying even louder lets out a scream, "Why is this happening to me?!" Exhausted, Vidar passes out.
