Joel
The ride was calm.
It felt slow, but the passageways used a lot of magic. It could feel like you’ve been on one for an hour and then you’re on the other side of the planet. The water started to go on an incline light filled the tunnel. Joel squinted as the ship bobbed and opened up onto a large body of water. Joel rapidly blinked and looked around, water clashed against the boat leading down a river. One hundred feet off shore was a line of cliffs. On the other side were miles of fields. A red dragon punced from cliff to cliff. He was red, had no front legs. He had claws at the ben on it’s wings. It had a long neck like its tail. It had black horns hanging low hanging back, the tips pointed to the clouds. It had black fins down its back, and wide eyes. It was Sty, with no fur in sight. Sty glided off one cliff and started to glide toward the ship, his left wing pointed to the air and his right win to the ground. He swirled around the ship and hovered just over it. The people on the ship screamed and cowered in fear.
“He’s a wyvern!” Daniel exclaimed. (Wyvern; wyverns are dragons with no front legs, they have spines that don’t go straight.)
“STY!” Daniel shouted.
“Stop!” people wailed.
Sty’s legs lowered and grabbed the three, as he was carried away Joel could see the horror in the peoples faces.
Sty dropped the three on a cliff side, grass scattered on. Rocks lay out and the cliff cascaded into fields. Sun floors scattered across the hill. There was a big creek mystery loomed from it. Joel locked onto it, Rachel and Daniel chattered but Joel knew something bad was about to happen. A large bronze leg shot out of the creek, it was long and spindly, three large bronze spiders scuttled out at rapid speeds, they were ten feet tall. They were also twenty foot wide. Rachel stood stagnant, her eyes side, sweat fled from her forehead. Joel grabbed his sword out of the air as Sty chucked it at him. Daniel held back an explosion arrow, it flew at one, but it quickly scuttled away and jumped at Daniel. Daniel collapsed. Another pointed its abdomen at it and white shot from it, it shoved Rachel to the ground, she didn’t even try to get up. Joel jumped at one of the spiders. One of their abdomens swung at Joel, Joel pierced the sword into the abdomen. Joel swung atop the abdomen, Joel ran down the spider and struck his sword across its eight eyes. Out of instinct Joel fell down and gripped on, the spider instantly scuttled around frantically, Joel struck the spider again. It changed direction to the creek. Joel dove off the spider as it scuttled down. The spider instantly came back up as the other two cornered him. Joel slammed his bade through the copper spider, it slid across the grass. Joel rolled over the spider and faced the next two. The one on the right raised their abdomen, another sprang at him. Joel side rolled out of the way, the webs struck the spider, and Joel tore through them sparks flying of the spider, the blade scraped down its abdomen, Joel shoved the sword into the mid section of the spider. It collapsed. Joel sighed out of relief, his two friends were incapacitated, and Joel was able to step up and help. But there was one more. The spider jumped over Joel onto a rock, web shot at Joel. Joel jumped away. Rachel lay on the ground dazed and confused. More webs leapt at Joel. Joel hit the deck and rolled. Joel jumped back out and pulled the pin out of his watch, the watch sprang into a silver sword and Joel threw it like a spear. The spider tried to jump out of the way, but the sword jammed into the gears and cogs of one of its legs. It clattered against the ground on its side. Sparks shot into the air. Flames erupted, and water started to sprinkle Joel head. Joel looked around for Sty, he was ripping apart more automaton spiders away from the three. Joel ran to Daniel and cut him out. Daniel leapt up giving thanks. Rachel fell to her knees and started balling. Sty walked over and spread his wing above them like and umbrella. Sty sadly grumbled and wrapped his neck around Rachel. Rachel embraced the dragon cried into his horns. Joel looked at Daniel, Daniel was smiling. “Good job back there.” He whispered.
“Well, you’ve saved me too much!” Joel over acted.
“Don’t worry! I won’t anymore!” Daniel joked.
The two stared into each others’ eyes. Daniels eyes sparkled, his smile remained; and it was genuine, Joel knew when it was fake. Joel leapt at Daniel and wrapped his arms around him. Joel pulled away; “do we fly through, or wait for the rain to calm down?” Joel asked. Daniel looked at Sty. Daniel nodded. “We can’t afford to wait it out.”
Joel decided to take a nap. He needed to get control of his powers after all. He wasn’t falling. Joel was in a dark cell; it was damp and cracked. The scene shifted: they stood in a swirling storm, lightning darting everywhere. A large dragon, one eighty foot tall, with its wing wide open. it had four legs and gold scattered everywhere. Large dragons stood everywhere on pedestals, from small to a hundred feet tall. They all glared at Joel judgingly. The scene blurred: Joel stood in the middle of a street Cars were lined up beeping their horns and the minotaur tore through the streets. Grey clouds overhang. Joel threw up his arms as the minotaur lifted its arms. (minotaur half man half human)
The scene shifted: boulder flew at Joel, one hit him, and the scene shifted.
Joel woke up. They were in the creek, in a small cave. Rachel refused to talk to Joel and Daniel and the Sty couldn’t its in.
