Chapter 3
Adam
The
last thing I remember is falling in some sort of field.. with withered
flowers... Now, I'm laying in a dark room in a strangely comfortable bed
surrounded by the faint light that seeps through the curtains to rest
my new fragile human body. After Lucifer attacked me and ripped my halo
and wings, I fell from heaven and slowly started losing my angelic
characteristics. Being an angel had its perks, it wasn't that much
different than being human. Some of the things that differentiated
angels from humans are the angelic markings on our skin, of course a
halo and wings, not to mention the angelic presence angels brought with
them. A warm and safe feeling that could make anyone feel calm, stress
free and help them clear their thoughts. It is strange however that,
even after losing my angelic presence and my marks slowly started fading
away, I still bleed like an angel. Landing in that field shouldn't have
bruised me the way it did. Because of my newfound wounds, my blood has
seeped into the sheets and bandages, to the point that they have started
having a faint reddish glow to them. In heaven, if an angel was to
bleed by any means, their blood would show a rich ruby color at first,
slowly fading into a faint red color but gaining a subtle red glow to
anything it came into contact with. I feel very awkward and
uncomfortable...My wounds have made such a mess that I feel responsable
to clean it up. The door slightly opened, and Natalie, the person that
took me in, peeked her head through.
"Hey love, are you doing alright?"
"Yes, I'm fine. I apologise for all of.. this..."
"Aw, don't worry about it. My hubby will take care of the glowy stuff. He's an expert housewife!"
After
our brief conversation, she sat beside me and placed her hand on my
shoulder and told me that everything would be alright.. It felt
strangely comforting, and i didn't know how to feel about it. It felt
unnatural to me.
After that, i layed in my bed for a while, my body
was aching in pain as I could feel every wound rub against what felt
like a thousand blades condensed in one measly piece of fabric...
