A week has passed and my wounds have healed to the point I can move around the apartment. This generous young couple took me into their care after they saw me on their honeymoon. Oh how strange it must have been for them to see a wounded angel covered in blood just laying there. To be completely honest i have no idea why they took me in, didn't they find the whole situation odd? Did they even think about calling the authorities?
Nevertheless I'll always be grateful for their hospitality. I heard the door unlock and saw it slowly opening to reveal what I presume was Natalie's husband.
"Hey there little man!!!"
He ran to me and gave me a long and painful hug... He held on for what felt like hours and my wounds didn't make the experience any more joyful. After i couldnt take the pain anymore I decided to remind him.
"Hey sorry to interrupt your greeting but my wounds still haven't fully healed and-"
"OH NO I'M SO SORRY! I TOTALLY FORGOT!!!!"
How do you forget something so obvious I mean.. I'm still covered in bandages. After that blissful experience, we went on to the main living area and sat beside a tiny table. He offered to make me a glass of hot chocolate and I accepted. He usually makes it for his wife in the morning, and for the past few days I could smell the aromas and wanted to try this peculiar drink.
"So how did the life up their treat you little man."
I cant believe that he didn't even question when i told him that i was an angel, i really don't know what to make of his decision to wholeheartedly trust me. I remained silent loosing myself in thoughts and then worried look washed over his face. I didn't want to kill the mood but I really didn't want to talk about heaven, at least not after what happened with Lucifer.
"Wait, I totally forgot to introduce myself! My name is Alfred! Nice to meet you roomie!!!"
"Roomie???"
"Yeah!!! You live with us now so you're our new roommate!"
