Chapter 6
Adam

Ughhh... waking up early remind me of my old life, but I need to get ready for a new beginning and start making myself useful again. I got out of bed brushed my teeth with toothpaste that was strangely flavoured like strawberries... Not my favourite flavour but it works. It was strangely refreshing. I put my hair up in a ponytail and put my new working outfit on. I went into the living room, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and hot chocolate filled the air. It was strangely comforting..
"Hey little man did you sleep well ?"
"I slept beautifully, thank you."
"I've made you a cup of hot cocoa, Are you excited for your first day?"
He stood up from the small table in the living room and handed me the hot cocoa. As I was gonna thank him he placed his hand on my shoulder.
"You don't have to thank me, drink up little man!"
I hate it when he calls me that but i couldn't help but smile, he's like a ball of sunshine. Around him you can't help but smile, it has gotten me suspicious of him because how can a person be this happy all the time.
But i sensed no malicious intent on his side, so i wont question him for it.
"Hey Adam don't force yourself too much okay?"
"Don't worry Nattalie i won't, I was an angel after all."
"Don't faint on us like you did last week, your wounds will have a hard time if you keep falling."
She's not wrong, last week i pushed myself a lot, i don't wanna just lay around and do nothing. I wanted to at least help with the housework. Unfortunately the fumes from the cleaning supplies made me lightheaded and in the soon following events made me faint on the bathroom floor.
"Don't worry i wont, i've realised the limits of my new body."
Natalie glared at Alfred.
"Alfred you better not overwork him, poor Scarlet already has enough work on her own!"
"Don't worryyyy! Scarlet just works a lot to distract herself from the guy that comes in on friday's. He's a handsome fellow I tell you!"
I wonder if Scarlet is looking for a lover, maybe i can have one too in this life...
