They wait for Garland and the other at the town's gate. after a while, they finally saw them coming from the distance.

"Boss!" Garland waved at them while pulling the cart behind him; Sierra and Dianna sat on the cart.

Rein and the other helped Garland pulled the cart to their stall. Rein took the med kit and contacted Fabian, he asked Rein to brought the med kit to the palace gate, he'll wait for him there. Rein ran to the palace gate, Fabian was already waiting for him there.

"How's the girl?" asked Rein

"She is fine, for now, but there is something weird. With this-" Fabian held the med kit "i could examine her more thoroughly."

"Is there anything we can do to help?"

"I will let you know if i need help." Fabian returned to the palace

Rein walked back to the stall. The other were displaying their new merchandise. Their stall were quickly crowded by the local. There were announcement from the palace that the sky lamp festival will be delayed until further order from the Emperor.

The next day, they spent their time selling their merchandise while waiting for news from Fabian, they racked lots of money. They used some of the money to bought food for the people around their lodge.

Another day passed. Rein thought hogging all the money might disturbed the economy, he decided it's time to stopped selling and enjoy their time there. When they walked around ,Rein felt they were being watched. Garland and Kincade used their sensor and saw people were observing them a far.

"Should we confront them?" asked Kincade

Rein shook his head "we better stay out of trouble."

Kincade's watch buzzing, someone was calling for him "what's wrong Fab?"

"Is that Fabian?"

"That's weird. Okay, i will go there with Garland."

"What is it?" Rein was curious

"There's something weird in the palace." said Kincade "Gar! come, Fab need us!" he gestured at Garland, he then looked at Rein. "Tag along?"

Rein nodded.

After informing the girls the situation, they went to the palace. Fabian was waiting for them at the gate. Fabian told them about the unexplainabled occurance with the girl everytime he rid the illness, but somehow it kept returning.

They followed fabian to the secluded room at the furthest end of  palace. As they entered the room, Rein smelled an intense flowery scent, he also felt chilling sensation.

"What is this smell?" Kincade pinched his nose "My nose hurt!"

"A gift from the dragonfly lady." Fabian pointed at a intricate jar on the table "They said it help calming the princess."

"Calming? i had to block my receptor!" growled Garland "hey the girl distorting again."

The girl began hyperventilating. Fabian quickly went to her side, but he told the other to remain vigilant. As soon as Fabian calmed the girl by injecting a medicine.

"Hey! the distort gone!"

"Mine no longer flickers." Kincade scratched his head "What just happen?"

Rein looked at them confused.  "Mind tell-"

Garland suddenly turned and pointed at him. "Boss! your shoulder distorting!"

"Huh?" Rein swatted his shoulder "wha-"

"It jumps!"

"That is the same cloud surrounding her lung!"

"What the heck was that." Kincade appalled

"Where is it?" Rein asked

They looked around while Rein stay at the corner because he will be just in the way.

"There!" Garland jumped and it seemed he hold on to something, "Do something, it's slipping away."

Rein heard a weird screeching coming from Garland's hands. Kincade quickly punched the wall beside Garland's hands, making a big hole.

"It still alive!" shouted Fabian

Kincade grabbed a small chair and tried smacking with it, but it seemed it didn't do any harm to whatever it is.

"What the heck is that? nothing could harm it." Kincade still swinging the chair

"Let me try."

Rein heard a crackling noise, he noticed Garland's hands glows and the costume shattered into pieces. Rein saw a silloutte of insect like creature getting electricuted. It made a loud screech before disintigrating.

"What is that?" Rein was shocked

"It's gone.." Fabian then stared at the table "wait! that black cloud reforming on top of that jar! Gar!"

Garland quickly crushed the jar with his electric hands. Rein heard another screech before the jar burns into smithereen.

"What is that thing?"

"no idea." Garland crossed his hand "whatever it is, luckily electric charge works on it."

"A ghost? because it weak to electricity just like in that old movie." suggested Kincade

 "There are no such thing as ghost." Fabian shook his head "it must be somekind of creature native to this planet."

They heard a moan, the girl was awoken, she stood from the bed. She's looking around and asked what happened. Fabian told her to stay still and began examining her.

"It is seemed that black creature, was the caused of her illness."

"Black creature?" the girl asked

Fabian told the girl about the creature that caused her illness, the girl suddenly looked horrified.

She muttered "Malady..."

"What a lady?" asked Garland

"Malady.. an illness caused by a curse.." the girl shivered

"See? it's supernatural like in that movie."

Fabian chortled "there are no such thing as curse or gh-"

"Hey, did you hear something?" Garland gestured his hand

They heard a loud commotion. Then the door suddenly opened and several masked peoples barged in, they drew their knifes and jumped at the girl at the same time.

"Watch out!" Kincade jumped in front of the girl. The knifes plunged on his shoulder. He punched all the assailants, knocking them away on to the wall. He took the knife from his shoulder and threw it away, blood splattered from his shoulder.

"I'm sorry." the girl muttered

"Hold still." Fabian applied a bandage to Kincade shoulder, which immediately stopped the bleeding.

Garland checked the assailants, "They all out."

"Who are those people?"

"I have no idea." Garland flipped one of them. "Ninja?"

"They are the assassin working for the warlords." said the girl

"Rein!"  Leena voice coming from the watch "Rein!"

Rein opened his watch "Leena?"

"Thank goodness you allright. Rein! the town was under attack!"

"What! is everyone allright?"

"Boss? what happened?"

Rein put on loud speaker.

"According to the local, it's their regional warlords." Sierra explained

The princess gasphed and covered her mouth.

"They've taken over the palace. Laylah went to the palace alone to save you, we tried to stop her.."

"She'll be fine.." said Kincade "don't worry about her.. Anyway stay put, we will find Laylah."

 Rose chimed in "It was total chaos over here!"

"We are currently at the lodge, we tried saving as many of the resident as we could"  said Leena

"So many hurt.." Dianna lamented

"We'll be there as soon as possible." assured Rein before turning off the comm "come on, let's go safe them."

"Okay, boss!"

"Rein! Fab!" Kincade grabbed spatula and a handle from his arm compartment and gave it to them.

"Uh.. thanks.." Rein looking at the spatula

"It's made of eternalum. Fab! protect the princess! i'll guard the rear."

"Ready?" Rein gestured

Everyone nodded. They head outside and ran towards the palace gate. They encountered several masked peoples fighting with the palace guards. They helped the palace guards defeating the masked peoples. The guards thanked them and informed the princess about the rebellion led by the Emperor's brother with the help of the Consort Xuqing and several regional warlords.

"Is the Emperor safe?"inquired the girl

"My lady.. the Emperor was captured by the rebel."

The princess was horrified "And.. the empress and other consorts?"

"They were imprisoned in their palace.. but the rebels bring the emperor and the empress to the main palace." The guards was shaken "We tried to save them but their number are too great." 

The princess bowed her head at Rein "Please! i beg you.. save the Emperor, with your strength.."

Rein scratched his hair, they already meddled too much with this planet affair, but he also worried with the townsfolk, what will happened to them if the rebel took over the town. "Alright! Gar! Cade! Fab! we will storm the main palace and safe the emperor!"

"Heheh, finally some action!" Kincade swinging his fist "I've longed for this."

"Yeah!" Garland cheered

Fabian shook his head " you guys are too enthusiastic."

Rein smiled "Let's go!"

They ran to the main palace. When they finally reached there, Kincade kicked the palace door which caused some rebels who were standing guard near it to flew away and hit the pillar. The Emperor's brother was shocked to see them there (he now donning the spiral hat). The emperor and the empress were on their knee.

"You- you! how? they should have taken care all of you!"

"Those rabble?." Kincade laughed "Should have sent an army." He turned his head and gave Rein a thumbs up "pretty cool, huh?"

"Right.."

 "Prince Jiaom! release the emperor and the empress!"

"You should have died! the curse-" princess Xuqing yelled

"Lady Xuqing.. why.." the girl despaired

"Prince Jiaom promised me the empress seat! The curse should have killed you!"

"General! termitate those vermints!" ordered the prince

A huge man (he's even bigger than Kincade) carrying a humongous axe stood from his seat. He swinged his axe and destroy a pillar beside him with just one swoop. He pointed at them and gestured to cut their throat.

"That's General Tahu!" the girl shuddered

"That buffoon is the general?" asked Garland

the girl stared at them in disbelief "He's the most feared-"

"Most feared eh?" Kincade intrigued "Let me fight him, alone."

Rein looking at the general "I felt really sorry for him.."

"You will get ki-"

"It will be allright." Fabian calmed the princess

Kincade walked towards General Tau. The general slammed his axe on the floor, crushing it. He sneered at Kincade.

"A clown dare to face me?"

He suddenly swinged his axe at Kincade, but Kincade simply grabbed it and quickly crushing it with his hand. The General was flinched, Kincade quickly uppercut the general at his chin, they heard a loud crack.

"Wouch." said Garland

The general slammed to the ground like a piece of log.

"That was easy.."

The girl looking at Kincade awed.

Fabian went to the unconsious general. "You broke his jaw, you done too far." He quickly applied bandages to the jaw and fixed it.

"Oh come on.. he deserved it. Why are you treating him?"

"A patient is a patient."

Prince Jiaoum looked shocked. Panicked he ordered the rebels to attack them, however they were no match for Rein and his companion. Rein ran directly to prince and smacked his head with the spatula, maybe too hard because he saw some teeth flew, ending the rebellion.
