Luckily I don’t need to think much about that piece of information. Since it’s useless until learn more about it.
“Hey. What are you doing up here?”
I couldn’t help but let out a sigh when I heard that familiar aggressive tone. When I turned around I wasn’t even surprised to see Morita Hoshi.
“Did you miss me already, Hoshi?” I said her first name mockingly as I leaned back against the railing. A little grin spread across my lips.
“Ugh, cut the shit.” She groaned in annoyance. “You’re friends with my brother right?”
“It wasn’t obvious?” I asked sarcastically as I crossed my arms over my chest.
“Well it’s good to know I don’t need to waste my time talking to that Pres. My problem is with you.”
“Oh, cool, good to know.” I said dismissively. “Is that the only reason you came up here?” I asked as I walked over to her.
Once I was practically toe-to-toe with her I was pretty surprised by how tall she was. I mean, Dazai and I are the same height so for her to only be an couple of centimeters shorter than me was impressive. Making so our faces were pretty close together during this standoff.
But before I could even start to admire her face I heard her stomach growl. Catching us both off guard for a moment. Causing me to laugh a bit.
“Hey! This place is huge and confusing. There wasn’t anyone to show me around so I don’t know where the cafeteria is.” She shouted at me as a cute pink hue colored her cheeks.
“As if, Toshi probably offered to show you around when he spoke to you before. You just turned him down thinking that it was annoying or a drag.” I threw my hands in my pockets and headed for the stairwell. “Come on, I’ll take you to the cafeteria. Dazai is probably worried about you if he hasn’t seen you yet.”
I could tell from the huff that I heard from behind me that she was both following me and annoyed that I was right. And the only reason why I knew I was right was because she was really easy to read for me. Though it did help that she was practically a female version of Dazai. I swear it’s like these two come from a Yakuza family or something.
As we walked towards the cafeteria Hoshi suddenly stopped and turned to look out of the window. I followed her line of sight to see she was watching a guy pass on a love letter.
“A little cliche put it gets the job done.” Tomori commented from beside me. Which earned him a swift kick for speaking.
Though what scared me the most was the girliest squeel that came from her. It made me practically jump.
“Oh my god, confessions like that really do happen.” She squealed practically gushing at the sight.
Is she… a Shōjo Manga addict? Oh, I’m definitely going to make a mental note of this and tease her about it later.
“Lets go, the cafeteria is just around the corner.” I said reminding her that I was still here.
“You’re going to pretend like you never saw that.” She glared with a tone that made it sound more of a command than question.
I couldn’t stop myself from grinning as we walked towards the cafeteria. Finding myself actually enjoying this dynamic between us.
“What sight? If you were referring to something along the lines of someone acting like a young school girl squealing as she witnessed something out of her favorite manga. Then no I didn’t see anything.” I said sarcastically.
“Do you want to die?”
We grabbed our trays, got our food, then took her to the table Toshi and Dazai were waiting for us at. When Toshi saw us he immediately gave me the most fatherly look of disapproval. Stop acting like I’m bringing her to meet my parents!
“Princess!’ Dazai shot up as he hugged Hoshi. “I was so worried about you~. How was class, did you make any friends, were you already able to find you way around?”
I stepped back into line with Toshi and we both gave him the same look. Though his was more parts disappointment while mine was more disgust.
“Hey, Dazai. Want me to beat the sister complex out of you?” I asked already raising my fist.
“As the student council president I should warn you about the consequences of being violent.” Toshi warned as he also rolled up his sleeves.
“Toshi, you also look like you’re about to hit me.” Dazai said with a deadpan expression. “Anyway that’s besides the point. I’m just glad nothing happened on her first day.” He said as we all sat down at the table.
“Well something almost did happen. You were right to trust me over Haruma for this.” Toshi said while adjusting his glasses.
“Hey, why am I the problem here?” I asked while shaking Toshi.
“Though I have to say it was a little surprising to see you walk in with her. Given what almost took place in class.”
I let go of Toshi and let out a sigh. Though when I looked over at Hoshi I couldn’t help but grin.
“Well the Princess needed a royal escort.” I teased because it was no fun not to.
“I’ll kill you.” She growled at me but calmed down the second Dazai put his hand on her shoulder.
“Relax, relax, that’s just the type of guy he is. He loves to tease any time he sees the opportunity to do so. He probably finds it so fun to do it to you because it’s a lot like how we were at the start.”
“Tsk, nobody asked you to be so sentimental.”
“Wow, full Tsundere.” Both siblings said in unison.
“I mean she is a lot like you in some ways. That’s why it’s easy for me to tease her and talk to her. But it’s the parts about her that are uniquely her that have me so interested.” I said with a genuine smile that I didn’t even know I was showing.
Then my words set in and I couldn’t help but feel stupid. Especially when Hoshi was blushing with a stunned look on her face.
“Hey, are you hitting on my sister?”
I quickly picked up Tomori and threw it at him. Planting him right in the face sending him backwards off of his seat.
“Ow! The hell did you even hit me with?” He shouted as he rubbed the back of his head.
“My, my, aren’t you guys having fun.” Azurie said from beside the table.
I had to do a double take to make sure it was actually her. I mean when did she even get here and for how long has she been standing there?
