Law and Order 0.1: Religious Practices Prohibition
1.1 The Galactic Council hereby reaffirms the complete prohibition of all religious practices
within the planets governed by the Council.
1.2 The ban on religion is based on the historical evidence of cultic-like behaviors and their
association with warfare, deception, and societal disruption in early civilizations.
1.3 All early religious beliefs that involved fictitious entities and allowed religious leaders to
dictate punishments are recognized as incompatible with the scientific principles that govern the
Galactic Council.
Article II: Revision of Tradition-Based Practices
2.1 The Galactic Council acknowledges that certain traditions previously considered religious in
nature are, in fact, based on cultural heritage and historical practices.
2.2 The Council shall utilize historical and modern data to identify and reconfigure these
tradition-based practices to align with the principles of societal advancement and scientific
progress.
2.3 Identified tradition-based practices shall be integrated into the Council's structures to
enhance social order, cultural diversity, and citizen satisfaction.
2.4 Traditions integrated into Council structures shall be subject to regulations and adjustments
as deemed necessary by the Council to maintain just authority.
Article III: Limitation of Traditions to Specific Citizens
3.1 Certain tradition-based practices, such as "Gundubar," (a Gantun based tradition once
deemed to be religious in nature) may be limited to specific Galactic Council citizens based on
whether or not they were born on Gantun. This tradition has been integrated into SoCred
systems and modified to serve the interest of the Council. However, in regards to expanding
upon this specific topic, example: should an authorized user of Gundubar initiate it’s function
upon a non-citizen of Gantun, the citizen may engage without fear of a negative effect on their
SoCred score, should the non-citizen prevail in Gundubar, they are entitled to minor SoCred
points.
Article IV: Illegal Religious Related Activities
4.1 The following activities related to religion are deemed illegal within the Galactic Council
territories, except where explicitly specified otherwise:
a) Sale of religious-related goods.
b) Study of religious-related subjects without a Galactic Historian Degree.
c) Teaching of religious-related subjects without a Galactic Historian Degree.
d) Manufacturing of religious-related goods.
e) Unsolicited debates of religion unless authorized and monitored by Galactic Historians.
Article V: Historical Libraries and Endangered Species Act
5.1 Historical Libraries within the Council's territories may contain religious artifacts strictly for
viewing purposes, but their primary focus shall be on historical documentation that predates the
Galactic Council.
5.2 Citizens that qualify under the Endangered Citizens shall be granted special access to
Historical Libraries of their respective Citizens on Galactic Prime, and they shall receive replica
props as a token of appreciation, These props can be delivered to Museums on the planet in
which the E.S is stationed.
5.3 Endangered Citizen with religious artifacts are exempt from subscription-based services and
monthly adjustment therapies.
Article VI: Religion Outside the Council Territories
6.1 The Galactic Council shall not interfere with religious practices outside its territories, but it
shall provide educational programs for citizens traveling to Outer Territories to ensure
awareness and understanding of religious individuals and practices.
6.2 Upon returning to the Council's territories, citizens who have been exposed to religious
practices in Outer Territories shall undergo evaluation to prevent potential brainwashing or
harmful influence.
6.3 Citizens purchasing religious artifacts in Outer Territories must enroll in a subscription-based
service in order to keep said artifact, they must also undergo yearly adjustment therapies to
retain those artifacts unless they fall under the Endangered Citizen Act.
Article VII: Safeguarding the Council's Ideals
7.1 The Galactic Council acknowledges the minimal to nonexistent presence of the idea of
correlating religion to tradition within its territories and recognizes this as one of the vital issues to the growth of every citizen, ensuring that citizens are up to date with the latest information on what is illegal / legal is a responsibility for each planet and enforced by the Council.
7.2 Galactic Historians are urged to approach the study of past religious practices with caution and objectivity to avoid being influenced by harmful ideals.
7.3 The Galactic Council is committed to its mission as a symbol of the future, upholding principles that have withstood the test of time, and shall continue to thrive until the end of existence.
7.4 Any attempts to challenge the Council's laws or undermine its authority in the name of religion shall be met with consequences as deemed necessary by the Council and its governing bodies.
