Louis was already at the restaurant. He was seated in the private, reserved room. He sat at the table, and waited. He was dressed in a neat suit. He was waiting, patiently...yet, a part of him felt a bit bitter and annoyed at Elias. For...disappearing. He'd really not appreciated being ignored, abandoned, without a word. But he would be lying if he didn't admit he wanted to see Elias after so many years. His thoughts were a mess as he just waited for the pale man to show up, tapping his fingers on the table absentmindedly.
Louis' eyes widened slightly as the younger man walked in. He stared at Elias as he approached the table. Just...taking in his appearance. It was hard to deny it, he looked so...so different, yet also the same like how he was in high school. He couldn't help himself as his eyes roamed over the other's entire body, especially his pale, porcelain like skin. His eyes and hair were a golden blonde, shimmering like gold under the soft lighting of the room. A low hum of instrumental music sounded from the restaurant's ambience system, further enhancing the calming atmosphere. Louis couldn't deny it... Elias had grown up, into a beautiful man.
He stood up, a charming smile on his face as he pulled out a chair for the other, like a perfect gentleman. It almost felt like...dare he say it, a date.
Louis' action caught the blonde by surprise, as he just stood there silently, staring at the chair.
Louis smiled a bit as Elias stared at him, silently. He was satisfied with the younger man's reaction and the fact that he could still make him speechless. Even after all these years.
"Well? What's the matter? Aren't you gonna sit down?" He asked. He was still holding the chair, as he offered it to Elias.
"Oh- okay..." The blonde nods, hesitantly taking the seat. He expected Louis to be more... bitter? But he was being so nice...
Louis smiled once more, and pushed the chair back, letting Elias sit down. He could practically hear Elias' thoughts- they were written all over his face, if one knew how to look for them. And Louis knew just that.
He watched as the younger man lowered himself into the chair, and he walked over and sat down in his own seat. He still had the charming smile on his face. His emerald eyes stared down into Elias's pale blue ones, still taking in his appearance.
"I'm glad you agreed to meet up with me." He said, his smile soft. His voice was a bit sweet as well.
A waiter came, serving the appetizers. Louis took a sip of his wine, a thoughtful smile on his face.
"Well... I was quite surprised, you know? Didn't expect the genius mentor Yerenika had been gushing about to be you," he hummed nonchalantly, even if his words were anything but. "You were always smart, weren't you? I knew you'd do something. You...were always exceptional, Eli. You've done well for yourself- Even if not everyone thought you could. After all, you've always been rather...emotionally vulnerable."
Elias didn't know what to say. He could only nod, replying with a perfunctionary response, "...Thank you. You look like you've been well too, Louis."
Louis just nods, as if he expected that response. He glanced at the other again, an almost calculating look flashing in his eyes, before they turned back to the sweet nonchalance. He remarked casually, "You look tired. Not sleeping well, I assume?"
He didn't wait for a response. His hand gripped Elias' chin unhesitantly, as he tilted it a bit, as if examining his eyes. "Hm... You need to take better care of yourself, Eli. You look terrible. The doctor also needs to care for himself, you know?"
