For the third year in a row, we are hosting Charity Commissions! This is a project that is close to my heart - I've worked with various charity organizations and groups since I was in middle school and, now that I'm a (mostly) functional adult, I want to be able to keep supporting charities! THESE COMMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN - THE LINK IS IN THE DESCRIPTION
Once a year, I've been selling commissions with a group of artist moots to go to Jacksepticeye's Thankmas charity streams. Last year, we managed to raise 571€, which was matched twice at the time of donation, making our contribution to the World Central Kitchen raise to nearly 1800€. Can we go past 600€ this year?
This year, we are splitting the money made between 2 organizations. First, a chunk of it will go to, as tradition, the Thankmas event. Last year, the event included a matching limit, where a certain amount of money donated became matched, up to twice. Ideally, we would like to give the minimum required to match at least once, effectively doubling our donation! This year, two crisis hotlines are being supported by Thankmas - Samaritans and Crisis Text Line. Their links will be in the description.
Then, what is left will be sent to The Trevor Project - another crisis hotline, this one being for LGBT+ youth in the United States. With the recent political changes, the amount of tragic losses of LGBT+ lives has unfortunately increased. We want to help fund this charity, in hopes that it helps anybody who needs it in the current climate. This was a unanimous decision by all of us, and we hope it will be respected by the donors.
Every life lost to s*icide is a tragedy - if we can help people feel seen and safe, if only by donations to such organizations, maybe we can help change things. If you ever need help, there are wonderful resources in the world there to help you. You are not alone, you are loved.
This year, we are 12 artists ready and willing to draw for you! There is a wide variety of syles, and prices range from 5-40€. Of course, we are also open to one-time donations. Plus, if you can't decide on who to commission, we do have a randomized artist option! Just give us the details of what you'd like to be drawn, and we'll find the right artist for you!
