Dear Diary,
Today is truly a momentous day. Let me start from the very beginning. My father is a hunter. Even though our family is not very social and our house is on the edge of the village, we rarely have visitors. ...It's all because of the rumors. But let’s not talk about that!
The important thing is that today a merchant came to buy meat from us. He brought his daughter, Vivian, with him. She’s 13, a year older than me. She gave me a toy rabbit. I’m so happy!
She has fiery red hair and green eyes. Her hair is neatly trimmed, and her clothes are beautiful. She looks like someone from the upper class. Could she be an aristocrat? No, no! She’s the merchant’s daughter. But even so, why did she say she wants to visit someone like me again? The disabled daughter of an ordinary hunter? Could it be that she wants to be friends...?

Vivian came back today. She says I’m a good listener and different from other talkative, self-absorbed girls.
I have so much fun with her! But... our conversations turn into monologues. Her monologues. Monologues about silly girls, about her father not bringing her the latest cosmetics, and so on.
I can’t interrupt her. No, I can’t even say a word against her. She’s so beautiful and wonderful. And she treats someone like me so kindly. Even her dullest complaints have become something I eagerly anticipate every day. I don’t want her to see me as one of those other silly girls.
If I keep supporting and listening to her, will she keep visiting me every day?
