The journey to the capital was longer and more intense, with sharp remarks from both sides. The cat and wolf looked at each other knowingly; they had to find a way to fix this.

When the group stopped to rest and eat lunch, Allison and Damian went hunting as Alexander helped Calliope set up the rest area. The two pets looked at each other and nodded. They had to put their plan into action. Ren followed after Allison and Damian, while Ackak stayed with Alexander and Calliope.

Achank was watching Alexander and Callope, waiting for a moment to try and warm the heart of the light mage. Alexander looked back at the wolf with an eyebrow raised. “Is it just me, or is the wolf watching me?” he whispered to Calliope. The maid looked at Alexander with a smirk “Young master; he probably feels bad for upsetting you,” she said as she looked at the wolf and gave him a small smile as the wolf wagged his tail.

Alexander looked unimpressed as he looked over his shoulder at the wolf. “Yeah, no, I'm a cat person," he said as he went back to trying to help Calliope pick up wood for a fire; however, he struggled to bend over and pick up the firewood. Seeing this as a chance, Achank went to help him pick up the firewood Alexander was trying to pick up and took it over to the pile.

Alexander looked confused as he watched the wolf. Calliope just giggled. "See, young master, he's trying to help,” she said.

Alexander looked at him unconvinced of the wolf's intentions. "Ok, Wolfy, if you wanna help, I point you pick it up got it, “he said. Ackank barked happily as if he were agreeing to Alexander's demands.

So for the next half hour, Achank would fetch the sticks, Alexander would point at them, and carry them over to the wood pile when they were finished. Alexander sat down under a tree, and Ackank trotted over and laid on Alexander’s lap. He looked at the wolf confused, then petted the wolf, whose tail wagged happily as he whined, "Okay, maybe you're not that bad, ”he said as Ackank barked happily. 

Alexander smiled as he petted the wolf. “Do you think you could remove that stick stuck up your master's ass?"He asked as he scratched Ackank behind the ears. Ackank looked at Alexander as he tilted him to the side, and nuzzled Alexander, who just laughed. “Okay, Okay you fluffy wolf,” he said as he scratched the wolf under his chin.
