Feathered Fall

Dear reader,

To end this book, let me start at the beginning.

As a writer, I walk around with a million ideas in my head at any given time. Most of these ideas never see the light of day. That is not because they’re not good ideas but because there are only so many hours in a day. It is also because I tend to prioritise projects out of curiosity or out of spite. Feathered Fall is a mix of both of those motivations.

I adored working on Fair, no Fair, but it creatively burned me out because it’s not a project that reflects who I am anymore. I needed a queer, adult-oriented story -something short and sweet that reflects my current interests- to get me back on track. Feathered Fall fills that niche.

This story allowed me to sharpen my skills, to do what I do best: setting scenes you can get lost in, making you emotional about characters you have barely met, and pondering vaguely about the philosophical question of what makes life worth living. I hope you enjoyed the journey as much as I did.

I am forever grateful for the people that decided to give my writing a chance. I know I am an inconsistent writer at the best of times. I also often get sidetracked by strange experimental projects (writing a spicy romantic fantasy that borders on the philosophical was not on my to-do list) and it makes it difficult to build a readership.

So thank you, for reading my story (or stories) and for sticking around until the end. I appreciate your support immensely.

Your writer and word wizard,

Crusoe
