"It's quite unnecessary to speak surreptitiously about me. I am very offended."
Liora quickly shuts the book and sets it aside while holding what appeared to be a weapon made out of paper. You didn't really know why she'd point a weapon at this random woman; she didn't seem to have any bad intentions.
"Uh... Who are you? Why... are you here?"
Maybe if you let her have her moment, she'd probably say why she's here and who she is.
"That does make sense. Somewhat."
Liora and the woman who snuck into the house stared at you weirdly. You're not supposed to answer what I'm narrating or even acknowledge it, you know? It'll make you look weird. I don't want this to be awkward or have weird stops, but that's what we're doing now. All thanks to you.
"In any case, my identity is of no concern. The Sovrana's assignment required that I extend the light of the 'fulmine amulet' to you. I am as mystified as you may be; however, I couldn't care less. My assignment is completed; that's all that matters to me. Don't follow me; I prefer drafting up the next system than stare at either of you any longer."
Liora looked awfully confused, still holding the weapon toward the young lady in front of her. "The Sovrana's assignment? Green Campanella? How could you be aware of Camilla's presence in Campanella? The fulmine amulet?"
"So inquisitive. Green Campanella is unaware of this Camilla you're speaking of; we simply render the amulet to those with the graven image. As you may know, Divinity Eleanor oversees the work of the Green Campanella; we simply adhere."
"Anyhow, ample questions, limited time. Alla prossima."
The young lady suddenly turns into water particles and disappears. With little room to speak, you're left with nothing but confusion. At least now you're saved from an entire planning chapter, or at least that's what you think.
The fulmine amulet approaches the graven image.
You feel a sudden shock as if you were struck by lightning; your body becomes incapable of moving, and your senses are all lost. All of the memories you've made in life flashed before you, but you were unable to put them together. To you, those memories flashing felt like puzzle pieces scattered around you; they didn't make sense. It was as if you were in a dream, many things happening, but none of them made any sense.
However, there was one memory you couldn't shake off.
"Please don't leave me behind! I can't see you. Please."
"--------- you're right in front of me."
"But I can't see you! I don't see you..."
"Blinded by her tears. That's what you are."
"All I can hear is the sound of your voice."
"Deafened by the continued ignorance you shall be."
"Hello? ------- Where are you? Hello?"
"Despite standing by me. You fell and failed to grow, twice."
"......."
"Now you can't even speak. You failed three times."
"......."
You awaken once again. This time, however, the presence of the amulet ingrained in the middle of your chest is massive. The fulmine amulet had a purple stone; it palpitated along with your heart. Was it part of you now? That's what you wondered.
Tears rolled down your eyes as you looked toward the ceiling above you; you didn't understand why or where they even came from. You didn't want to move, you didn't want to see, you didn't want to hear.
You didn't understand anything that was going on or why you had to be involved. You didn't care about who you were, who anyone else was, or why you were even there. What was the point of living? What was the point of your story?
"I don't understand."
You remained in bed, continuing to shed tears for seemingly no reason. At the same time, just outside the house, torrential rainfall accompanied with the roaring strikes of thunder created a frightening atmosphere.
You looked to the other side of the bed where Liora calmly slept. Why would she take care of you? Why would it be you of all people? Liora's beauty exceeded that of the standard; was she using you for something? You started having all these thoughts without any explanation.
Your heart started beating faster than usual, you started to tremble in an unusual manner, and you felt shivers all around. You didn't understand anything, you poor soul.
"What's the point of all this?"
