What the hell.. Narcissa woke me and Ali, 

"Huroi" Ali casted a spell and a magic gylph formed in the air, a few moments later a clock shaped glyph appear and show's the time. it's 4 a.m... Ali turned to Narcissa with an annoyed face.

"It's fucking 4 a.m?!" Ali pulls his blanket and trying to get in again. "Not so fast" Narcissa touched his arms and pull him up untill he's standing, his face looks really angry now.

"You too!" She turned her glance towards me

"W-wait." She touched my arms and just lift me over to a standing position.

Sometimes, Narcissa never fails to surprise me. Both me and Ali looked like a mess and she just came back from recovery. 

"Hehe I'm sorry to wake you up like this, but i'm really hungry..." i could Ali's anger risen "but not only that, Sam gave me a letter from The Captain." I think they're talking about churchbell's leader. This sounds like a really serious matter now that i could feel Ali calming down. "What does it say?" 

"Congratulationship on getting a new member for your party, now that both of you guys have a new companion, i think it's the time for your party to take more important mission. Your party will be assigned to escort people that just defrosted into churcbell. I already sent Malin to escort them but he hasn't returned yet, we lost our contact with him too, his last location was at the southern beach, around 20 kilometer from churchbell. Please follow him immediately." 

"We don't have much time." Said Ali

"You're right that's why i woke you up." Narcissa replied, Ali already moved from his place and started cooking. 

"Isn't it a bit bad? I haven't know how to use mana correctly." Even though the situation sounds dire, i'm still worried about it, it's only been two days since i defrosted and i messed up when i'm trying to use mana.

"It's okay, we're going to teach you as we move. It's not the proper way to learn, but.. we're running out of time!"

We sit on the chair while waiting for Ali to finish cooking. "I'm going to teach you one of the useful basic spell that anyone can do, Vicae" A glyph appear on top of her hand, and mana begin to converge until it looks like a ball, the size it getting larger each time, It's as big as her head and the sparks almost struck my hand. "Careful, this spell will make a mana blast channeled in your hand, the size depends on how much mana u put while casting it." Explained Narcissa, while squeezed the ball to shut the spell down. "Now, go on, try it." Narcissa looked at me and smiled. 

"Vicae" A gylph formed on top of my hand, i could feel mana flowing from my blood circulations and stopped at my palm. The mana in flowing, converged into a ball which grow larger each time. Now that i notice that my spell looks different than Narcissa, i don't have any electric spark, but mine has some kind of core, it's greenish and purple, the ball also beating like a heart. The blast is getting bigger than too, two seconds after i casted the spell and it's already bigger than my head. "That's good. then neutralize the spell with another mana to cancel it."

I'm concetrating, trying to gather mana to my hands, i could feel mana flowing again trough whole body and goes to my right arm and ends up in my fingers. I finished her instruction but i don't see any change to my spell while the blast is keep getting bigger. "Narcissa!" i turned my head to Narcissa.

"It's not working?!" I could see her shocked face, while i'm still trying to keep my calm in order to channel mana to my hands.

In an instant Ali pulled my arm and squeezed the ball "Expell!" he casted a spell the ball bursted, hitting his face. 

"Ali! are you okay?" Said Narcissa while checking him up

"I'm.. fine.. I just feel a bit dizzy and tired." Replied Ali "Just like what i felt before.." Said narcissa 

"It's getting too big, i'm trying to cancel the spell.. i'm sorry." Ali apologized.

"No, i'm sorry too, it's my fault for not teaching you how to cancel it right away. Usually people able to stop it anytime they want, i'm glad you're fine after directly taking the hit." Narcissa gets up and took a box containing tea. 

"What does it mean?" asked me while helping that are trying to stand up "I'm not sure ian, but i think your spell can make someone asleep immidiately, it'll be helpful in combat, a spell that can restrains or disturb enemy is what we call as control spell." Ali touched the back of his head trying to hold the dizziness, then he splashes water onto his face. 

"Impressive..." Narcissa went silent for a few seconds

 "Ali has a strong resilience againts magic, means that he suffer less impact from magic compared to other people, but you even managed to almost knocked him out too... that's merely impresive! Looks like we just spot a talent, Ali!" 

He nodded, seems like he's in a better condition now. "If it's really hard to cancel the spell, then you just have to release the it towards our enemies." i nodded in agreement slowly. "Now! Let's have a breakfast first." Said Narcissa after wiped and handed the spoons to us. I looked at our breakfast, a simple fried rice with three sunny side eggs each one on top of our plates. I felt a bit relief, It's been so long since i eat something properly, moreover, i'm glad that i can eat another fried rice in this world.

Me, Ali, and Narcissa arrived in front of the south gate. The gate asked us to show our mission letter and proceed to open the gate. "A direct mission?" Asked the guard to Narcissa "Yeah, our first direct mission from The Captain." Answer narcissa, i noticed one of the guard behind the one that are chatting with Narcissa are drawing something on the ground. "The Captain sent Malin a few days ago, but to send another party directly for an escort mission is a bit.." "I know.. too much right? But don't worry It may be delayed because there is more people to be escorted." Explained Narcissa, we're waiting for the gate to be opened, apparently The whole churchbell is protected with multiple layers of spells. Each layers are being opened one by one, now that i think about it, Churchbell feels like a big onion with it's layered barriers. 

"Still, it feels like an overkill, I think that The Captain are being overly anxious." The guard crossed his arms signaling a disagreement with The Captain's decision. "Even so, I won't doubt Captain's decisions, as long as we can catch up with Malin and make sure everything is okay, we're going to help him escort people to here." 

"Okay then, please take care yourselves." The guard took his sword and scratched his palm which leave to a small open wound, his blood dripped as he raises his hand. The ground shakes, and a red light is appear from the ground.

"Then Let's begin" Said the Guard 

"Sanguis Montis!" The guard shouted the spell and the ground shakes even harder, and a crack appeared from the ground. Red light illuminates the surrounding as two black horses standing in front of the us. One next to the guard that drew the gylph and the other is next to the other that casted the spell.

"Sanguis Montis means "Blood Mount" in Latin, it's a power exclusive to Peter. He can summon mounts that can assist him or any other people under his command. Explained Narcissa while pointing at that guard. "Thankyou for your assistance, we'll get going from now." Narcissa said goodbye to both of the guards. 

Narcissa picked Peter's horse while Ali and me take the other guard's horse, i'm going with Ali since there is only two horses now. The horse is fast and smart, the guard must be taking care of them carefully. Probably because It identified us as his owner's allies. Ah, I should have asked him his name, maybe i could lend his horse someday. 

"Do you know about the guard? I'm not talking about Peter." I asked Ali 

"Who? The one that drew the summoning gylph? His name is Andreas, Peter's step brother."

"Step brother?" I'm trying to make sure again

"Yeah, they were already step brothers even before The Catasthrope, Narcissa said that they defrosted at the same cycle. At first, The Captain are going to make only Peter as a guard because of his spell. But Andreas insisted that he wanted it too, He proves his worth by drawing multiple magic gylphs, from the easiest to the hardest at his level." Explained Ali while putting on his hoodie "Anyway, put on a mask, the road is starting to became sandy." i struggled to put my mask on when riding the horse, it shake so much but i finally able to do it. 

"About drawing gylphs, i never seen you and Narcissa draw a gylph before." Said me to Ali

"Drawing gylphs are usually not necessary, It's complex and take a lot of time to learn... One mistake in the process could make the spell failed, can you imagine it happen in a real combat?" Before i could response, he continued his explanation.

"...But drawing a gylph can be usefull too, it will reduce your mana comsumption to half since you don't need to channel mana directly from your body. You will only use your mana when activating the spell. In some cases, drawing gylphs directly can made the spells became more effective." I think he finished with his explanation, he can be really talaktive sometimes.

"Do you want me to make him teach you? We're quite close." Asked him suddenlys

"Huh is that okay? i mean... I would be happy." I answered him spontaneusly, didn't see that coming. He looked back a bit, i could him slightly smiling. "Don't worry, i want to learn it too from him, It's going to be useful." 

"We will arrive in ten minutes! Be ready!" Shout Narcissa from the front, this is it.
